What would you do if your brother hit................

.....you car?
My brother just dropped me some food off about an hour ago, and clipped my car.
No dents but deep scratches to front wheel arch and bumper, he has a £250 excess and has just got back on his feet. He has suggested that I get the repair done by a mobile repair company, but i have never used one of these before.
Can anyone who has used one of these recommend one, for the midlands area, or would i be better off going in to a bodyshop?
Grateful for any sensible input and rep for whoever gives the best input based on experience.
Thanks in advance guys.

ah bad news hun, no advice i'm afraid but hope it works out for you. Just see how much it'll be to repair it privately and come to an agreement, he is your brother after all. You must be a bit miffed tho' x

i am miffed cos since i've had the car it's never been touched by a bodyshop or mechanic, except for usual wear n tear.

I have used a mobile repair company before and the finish was brilliant. I am in Newcastle though so can't help you with a recommendation in your area I am afraid.

sue him, make him declare himself bankrupt again, change ur mobile number and if he confronts u over it just reply with mr t esque sayings such as...

u dented my bumper fool

quit ur jibba jabba

i aint gettin on no plane!

ps whilst ur at it, id call ur insurance company and tell them u were in the car at the time and want to claim on his insurance for whip lash!

ps on a serious note id go to bodyshop if its just a scratch on the bumper.

I suppose it depends on your relationship.
Personally i would forgive and forget.
You can always get another car...it's just a lump of metal.
Yur brother is for life and those scars will be harder to repair.
Sounds like the guy could do with a break.

Get done at body shop offer to pay cash in hand. Then let your brother know how much he owes you come to an agreement. Or get him to do some work help out at your house till you agree he's paid it back.

i can reccomend this company http://www.chipsaway.co.uk/ not sure if there is on in the midlands but there should be...they came out to repair a bump and it was done within 3 hours. you can not at all notice any damage had been done even if you look in that spot.

Try a halfords store. i only found this out a week ago but they are able to fully repair most minor scuffs, dents and scraches on cars at reasonable prices (prices can vary between £50 - £250 per area of damage) all work done is fully guaranteed and they properly colour code the paint to make sure the finish is perfect.
Give them a try.

And on a personal note when your on your death bed (hopefully never BTW) depending on a relative to donate a kidney/portion of liver/bone marrow etc then look over to your brother with a look in your eye that says.

'you owe me bro... you broke my car and i got it fixed and i let it slip... you owe me'
