my little guy is having a wii, been saving all year - lol

daughter desperately wants a laptop, and would love to get her one, she is in her last two years, so will be starting to study for GCSE and shes a great kid, she deserves one, but not sure if money will stretch that far
#2
i'll start thinking about it closer to the time. i may wait until Hallowe'en is out of the way. September is just far too early to be thinking about Christmas.

going for the tripple celebration. christmas, my birthday, and new year all within a few days. really really would like a digital camera from santa this year. never seem to have got myself one.

Usual xmas for me i imagine....complete denial that i need to buy any presents yet until it smacks me in the face on xmas eve ,.... then complete mayhem stress and anxiety as im the last person in town running around 2 mins to closing time looking for perfumes and stuff that sold out weeks ago :x

Every year *sigh*

hi sassie, well i have bought the wii and wii fit a while ago to put away for xmas good job now as my partner was made redundant so money is tight but just so glad i bought when i did.

It's my youngest first Christmas then his birthday on the 4th Jan, and with 5 kids I will be relaxing as much as I can
#8
All our friends and family agreed a few years ago not to buy each other Christmas presents. It has saved us all a fortune to buy the things we really need for ourselves (in the January sales). We only buy for the children now.

get a job instead of being on here all the time im sure that would help you stretch your money abit further.....bit unfair favouring one getting her what she wants.....

im not getting anything for xmas as its my 21st in march and my mum n dad are sending me to america so me n the oh can go to the casinos over there as shes already 21 n its what we would BOTH love to do....

think the little bro is getting a dirt bike not 100% on that tho mums keep rather hush hush this year lol

nah could never leave it to the last minute i love christmas. i have always been lucky with buying early as you seem to get things in stock were as now they are most likely to be sold out.
#12
I already have a few bits and bobs tucked away. Sometimes you see a bargain and think "oh i'll put that away for so and so" best way to spread the cost I think :)

agree - got to sort your own out - why spend hard earned money on relatives - especially if you only meet at xmas weddings etc - if you really feel the need to give buy a case of wine (bargain box in m& s or same) wrap in nice paper/bag -
