What are your Christmas Traditions?

LouiseVuittonLouiseVuitton

We would like to start some new family traditions in our home and wondered what you guys have as your Christmas Traditions? I know many come naturally but we would like to start some of our own this year too!

I have a couple of friends who all have a PJ tradition-giving new jim jams on Christmas eve, I quite like that idea. And plenty of work colleagues have a particular film they like to watch or game that they play.

I'd love to know what traditions you follow?x

I always used to get PJs from my Auntie on Chrismtas eve.

Now I have my own boys (aged 7 and 1), I always buy then new jarmys for Christmas eve, Santa knocks at the door when they are in the bath and just drops them off for them!!
I also bake Santa gingerbread Christmas trees and decorate them ready to leave out on christmas eve night.

My Dad always says he wont be up at the crack of dawn christmas morning yet he always manages to come down before 8am when we are all still in jarmys! We always watch Dr who on Christmas day night. Thats about it.
Oooh and its tradition to eat pringles for breakfast!

Im not feeling christmassy at all this year :(

No christmas spirit is lacking somewhat in this house also, hence why we'd like to start some of our own little quirks and traditions.

I own one of these Christmas journals; http://www.fromyoutome.com/Range/christmas.html Which I started 2 years ago, this will be my third year's entry, but I would like some more traditions to start.

I'm definately starting the jim jams one! Can't wait now, how cosy! I LOVE the Santa delivery idea too-how lovely. x

It's a tradition in our family to go to our local working mens club Christmas Eve. We always have a great laugh with everyone, singing, dancing etc. I've been every year since I was a baby :)

When the kids where young we used to take them to a local church service on Christmas Eve and take gifts along for the less fortunate kids. This was special as we are not church goers lol.We thenu sed to pick up a take out on the way home and have a loud carol sinigng effort in the car.

Then it was baths all round and time to pop out a glass of milk for santa with a mince pie and some carrots for the reindeer. It was so special back then because they believed.

However now they are older we just ask them to all make an effort to get on and that mobiles are switched off after about 9am on Xmas morning till around 6pm.

We also have this but was told not to use as the glitter may be harmful to the birds , why bloomin make it then oO

Some lovely ideas here and some real family memories being made it sounds.

Because there are no children in our house the santa and reindeer traditions will have to be saved until I pop out some nippers. I think this is why we're struggling with Christmas cheer, but some of these ideas are excellent for adults and I'm taking them on board

Gets magical when you have kids and they believe , i love Xmas eve its my favourite day , all the build up and the excitment knowing the big fella is on his way lol, just got back from cinema after seeing Arthur Christmas ( fab film ) and really feeling the spirit now , especially as i am all bought and wrapped !!....let the festivities commence ..hehe
