Whats the best way to get retro games etc. valued?

kezxxxkezxxx

Just wondered the best way to go about putting a value on some old games and consoles etc.
eg. I have an original xbox with a joytech screen and case with games and some old ps1 games like ff7 and ff9 with official guide.
Is ebay a good benchmark?

I'd say so; there's a large audience and you can see the 'market value' for your items - ie how much people are willing to pay, or have paid in the past few weeks - by using the 'completed listings' option.

But I've just watch skyrim get bid up to £41 on there when you can get it for £22.50?

There seems to be a gulf between very similar items too.

As above eBay is a good starting point and just look at completed listings as you should get a rough idea of prices. Their is a retro shop in our city centre and the girl that runs it bases her prices on eBay and then cuts them slightly and seems reasonable prices.

Picked up a NES a while back in near mint condition but not had much chance to use it
