£ weaker due to lower interest rates.

Bit of both, the £ is the new Zimbabwean dollar and as such the Euro is getting stronger. The US$ is fairly consistent but it's value is dictated but ours and the Euro. The less ours is worth the stronger theirs appears.

I'll agree it's a factor but the US interest rate has been at 1% for about 4 months now and in Japan it has been less than 1% (Currently 0.3%) for over 8 years so that's not the full story.

It's all a plan to introduce the Euro, so as to strengthen Europe and use the ideas to introduce over in America, Canada and Mexico. - NAFTA - and then on to the African states etc. Basically there are already plans in place for everything to be run "under the one roof" so to speak. Money, Army, Laws, Government. We need to unify the people, and stop letting the media control who we are and what we think...

Yep i agree the government is purposely sabotaging the pound so we have to abandon it and take on the euro. We'll be bankrupt by the end of the year bag in hand to europe begging for a bail out.

glass half full is it?

but it will be a long deep recession I think. Will be lucky to avoid deflation / depression IMHO, but there's no way Euroland would roll out the red carpet and welcome us in I don't think.

The £ is seen as weak in comparison to other currencies, simply because the money markets believe that we are in an even bigger mess than they are.
