thanks gav, thats what i was looking for, so got a bit better for me dosh, was advertised at T3400 and it has T4400:thumbsup:

You mean T4300!:roll: Intel have stopped producing it, the T4400 has dropped to it's price point. There was only $10 difference anyway. So your would have been about £6.20 up!:-D

There is probably no difference between the CPUs at all.

When Intel test a CPU they run it as fast as it will go.

If it runs up to 2.1Ghz they put a T4300 badge on it, and if it runs up to 2.2Ghz they put a T4400 badge on it.

Generally that is how it works with all CPUs of the same type.

When they first start building them they are quite slow, but as the process improves the CPUs get faster and faster.

So they dont actualy do anything different in the manufacturing process they just become faster and faster (and then they can charge more for them).

(This only applies to CPUs of the same family of course).
