Ernest and Julio Gallo rose, white grenache or zinfandel. Probably a bottle a week on average. When out, a wee bit of Vodka doesn't hurt.

I drink anything!

On a recent night out, I drank 4 Revolution cocktails, 2 Scarlet Miss Charlottes, 1 Jaffa Shake and 1 Jammie Dodger! All very nice! :D I drank more than that, quite a bit more in fact! Which would explain the reason I felt so rough the next day! :D

I've had Chilli shots, (I even did 12 different shots in a row once!) 1 of each Aftershock (red, blue, green and black) in one glass down in one, and my defining moment to clarify my statement of drinking anything, I've had absynth!!!

I must say drinking is neither big nor clever. I would normally say "but it is bloody good fun!" after that, but on a serious note, it's scary what drinking can actually do to you and your health in the long term. People say live for the moment, and yeah, fair enough, do that if you so wish, but what about the moments later on in your life?

Possibly getting married? Having your first child? Hearing their first word or seeing their first steps?

Suppose the same could be said for smoking etc. I'm not having a go at anyone's way of life and the way they want to live it. But having lost family and family friend to smoking and to a drink driver, it makes me stop and think "this pint cost me £2.90, but what has it really cost me in my life, body and mind?"

sambucca and tequila kill me on a night out, nice though

lol. Humbug. Only just putting my Christmas decorations away. I wasn't here at the weekend!

And I don't *really* drink at all. Not that I don't have the occasional drink but it's only the odd glass of wine on a special occasion, lol.

EDIT: My avatar looks all plain now. :-(

smirnoff ice...i can get through quite a few too!, maybe 8 in a night, but i'll pretty much drink anything, apart from red wine...yuk

Last Summer the members of my household tried to work out how many units we were drinking a week and we were all well in excess of 40 units a week. Things have calmed down in the last 2-3 months and it's probably settling at just over 20 now.

We were going out at least 4 days a week at one stage, the most was 2 weeks straight.

Continuing to drink at these levels is very damaging, but you should not stop drinking today as you risk withdrawal symptoms, which can be medically dangerous.
96.4% of UK adults drink more safely than you.

Islay Malt whiskies, Talisker, Laphraoig, Ceol Ila, or any other decent single Malt, like a Glenmorangie Port finish.

The nicest I ever tried was a 60 year old Glenfiddich, Solera finish - very nice, but a once in a lifetime drink, I couldn't afford another bottle. The original was a gift :)

Generally, *IF* I'm in the mood for a drink, I drink a Bud or two with my tea, then 2-3 double whiskies, with water. Being disabled, going out isd not really an option, so I'm an at home only drinker, which can be tricky, but it is well under control.
