When do you start your Xmas shopping?

Thinking about starting it now and picking up random bits from HUKDs so when the Xmas period comes round, I can just put my feet up and relax.

I hate the last week before xmas so much! Kids running around, people barging and stamping, old ladies fighting over the last item on the shelf, its really not safe out there!

I put things away all year, I probably only go shopping one day before christmas and hate it.

I started already, as with 6 children it can be a nightmare to leave till last minute, albeit only got a couple of things due to forking out on school uniforms etc but i made a start which is good enough for me.

I say go for it, some people do all their shopping in a January in the sales.

I start in the Jan sales & buy when I see things throughout the year so when Nov comes around I have most of it already, only have food & drink to get.:santa:

Have started buying a few bits now, but will get more when kids are back at school ,its really difficult when they are off to sneak the stuff into the house, :)

Hehe! Reminds me of that old Friends episode where Monica gets toilet seat covers and Ross gets two cans of sada for Christmas!

Comedy gold! :-D

Sorry to be a saddo but I start mine in the January sales which is especially good for kids as you can get some great toy bargains. I always leave a bit of budget for my 2 girls for their "Father Christmas" presents to wait and see what they ask for but everything else is bought in sales throughout the year and of course, from HUKD items which has saved me loads of money.

Cannot think of anything more stressful than leaving it until the last week - pressure or what?

the wife bought loads in january for our 2 (ages 3 and 1) and also bought the presents we give to our friends children. littlewoods had a huge sale last january and she got pretty much birthdays and christmas presents for all the children we normally buy for as well as our own. the loft is packed with stuff already and she also bought decorations etc in the sales so we won't have much left to buy unless the wee lad asks for something specifc and the sweeties. (she's the most organised person i know lol)
