Do you keep getting Jade Goody's repeat prescription for her stupid pills, or what?

there is some sick gets in the world, and the opening post clearly shows this

depends if no one is getting hurt then sometimes its good to see a house get washed away and stuff, good viewing.

if its a plane/fire or something I hope everyone gets out safe, dont want to see anyone killed.

Jade Goody is a good example, despite your best efforts.

People literally watched a woman slowly die. If that isn't prurient and voyeuristic and perfectly demonstrates my point....

I would ask you to back that up, but I know it's true and that you aren't suited to these types of discussions, so I will bid you adieu.

Controversial thread was very...

controversial?

Actually I think it's a perfectly sound and non-controversial idea. I just wanted to see if anyone else would admit to it.

I thought Hurricane Katrina was kick a**e :?

I'm partial to the car chases on Fox News - it's like a movie.

They don't screen those things live because people want to see a person driving 32mph in a 30mph zone - they want to see a dude doing 60mph on his rims, sparks flying and people diving out of the way.
#15
its human nature to want to see how bad it gets.

like if you in a hospital you cant help but look in the next room to see if someones leg is falling off

all these ppl can say no, but unintentionally you all do. Human nature is a sick and twisted thing

I'm sure that many more enlightened posters are put off from posting what you have because of the mob mentality on this site.

But I agree human nature has those aspects.
#17
I'm sure the people involved in the disasters that you see on TV very much hope they won't get worse.

Controversial or thought provoking your question may be, but sensitive to the people involved it is not.

It might be human nature to see how bad it gets, but to hope things get worse is not - that is just sick.

Balls.

As bad as it sounds 9-11 was the most enthralling, gripping, jaw-dropping thing I have ever seen on television - and I bet that goes for hundreds of others here whether they care to admit it or not...

 The day we all have to start pandering to the sensitivities of hypothetical people in a hypothetical situation is the day I will agree that 'politcal correctness has gone mad'.

Yeah, I suppose I do like to see things get worse and see how people/the Govt. deal with the situation. It can all be quite interesting.

I don't like to see people get hurt/killed though.

* Trolls are people who for no reason want to disrupt a forum topic by constantly posting out of context posts, derogatory comments, throwing insults, making personal attacks and deliberately inciting a negative response from other members. This is called trolling; in public forums and won't be tolerated here.
* Users or groups of users who continue to attack other members because of their views and opinions, attempting to beat them down or demean them, will have posts deleted and may be banned.

Sorry, who is it that is trolling again? Seems to me you've chosen to reply in this thread purely to call the OP a troll and have incorrectly spammed the thread and incited others to do the same - if you don't have anything worthwhile to say just ignore the thread!

Must admit this also.

Though watching people die is not fun, nor is it clever:?

It's a disaster for the team though as it costs them millions. And in Ayrton Senna's case he didn't walk away. (But i don't like to see people die by the way).

Another good example.

I suppose it's because humans generally have a fascination with their own mortality and seeing others die is a way of exploring it.

But it is the basis for the majority of news reports, films, tv etc.

the teams can easily afford it, Ayrton Sennas death was 15 years ago, safety in F1 is much greater now, why does everyone always mention sennas death, cos he was the best? there was a much worse death that race weekend and noone ever remembers it :-(

News I agree with you it sells stories which is sad. But thats the world hey.

Films/TV is fiction, usually routing for the character winning rather then kill itself surely?
