I have to buy a turkey crown this year know nothing about them and would like some advice. Is there a good place to buy one or are they all about the same wherever you buy from?

amazon or play.com dont sell them :p

I guess they are all the same, I know we got ours from Tescos & it was bloody expensive !!! that's the last time I go shopping with the missus ! I'd be quick though as I should imagine there wont be many left.

Don't get why people pay extra for a crown. It's basically an average piece of meat with the best bits removed. Madness

Turkey crowns are nice, you pay a bit more per Kg for the ease of not having the legs, wings and carcass of the turkey in the weight.. so IMO works out about the same really. The only problem with them is that people tend to over-cook them and make them a bit dry.

Another bonus to them s that they dont take as much space in the oven, so you can cook a few other things, i have had them a few times, i would choose the crown personally, but the hubby prefers a full turkey
