3 pointed screwdriver? Like a philips but with only 3 points - looks a bit like a rotor blade when viewed end on. There was one on eBay but I missed it and although it didnt sell I cant contact the seller because eBay are blocking it. I only want to ask him to relist it! My camera has this shaped screws and as Fuji want £100 less 1p to look at it I thought I'd give a it of DIY a go to try and fix it but have been thwarted by a screw!
Any ideas all you clever people out there??
Many thanks

That one doesn't have the tri-wing bits, this one at maplins does

Think its the one on the second row up on the bottom red picture on the right. Screws are tiny

Didnt know they were called tri wing screws (although its logical) - I was looking for 3 pointed screwdrivers which wasnt helping

The Maplins one is more expensive but you can take it back for a refund if it doesn't fit the screw I don't know if you can do that at Screwfix.

Well I'll call into Screwfix and have a look - Thanks guys - even if it doesnt fit Im sure the set will get used at some point and its worth a punt for £2.99. If it means I can fix my camera I will be well chuffed!

My last birthday pressie was a set of proper precision screwdrivers but it only has the usual flat, crosspoint and 2 x 6 pointed ones

well i got the screwfix ones - got a mate to pick them up for me - only problem is they are all too big!
NEXT QUESTION - where can I get really tiny ones!???????????????????

I know this is going to sound daft but do you own any of these consoles

Wii, Gameboy Advance, Advance SP, Gameboy Color and Original Gameboy or Gamecube

the reason I ask this is that on E-bay there are several tri-wing screwdrivers to open these consoles and perhaps you could compare the sizes of the screw heads.

This is the search I did

http://www.google.co.uk/products?btnG=Search+Products&q=tri-wing+screwdriver

This looks more like it- E-bay - Item number: 230178314063

Need help opening a phone? These screwdriver sets allow you the freedom to perform your own repairs on the phone - no more costly trips to the shop! Please make sure you know what you're doing before opening the phone.

Difficult to get hold of, these are limited in stock, first come, first serve. The tri-wing/tri-claw design will also allow you to unscrew the security screws on the Game Boy Advance.

If you enter "tri-wing" into the E-Bay search it comes up with loads of different ones.
