Where can I return my unwanted alcohol? ie Supermarket/other shops

I have a few bottles of alcohol (whisky, rum etc) that I have amassed either as as gifts or that were brought to a party I had a few weeks back and I was wondering whether anyone knew any shops that would be willing to take them back even though I have no receipt/s as I will never drink them myself.

I know its a bit cheeky to try to return them somewhere they were never bought but if I could return them and receive supermarket vouchers in exchange for them then no-one loses out do they?

Hello and welcome:thumbsup: I wouldn't bother trying to take them back to a shop because it may be a bit embarrassing if they won't take them back. Why not just recycle them as gifts to others!

Shops don't like taking food items back unless the packaging is like faulty,like say you bought a jar of jam and the button on top could be pressed in they may refund you back for it if you got receipt or its their own brand. Also you gotta know what shop the item belongs to really. Like say I take something back to a shop and they don't know they sold that item,then without receipt won't usually take it back.
Can't usually only take food back only if its out of date and things like that.
Save going waste,either give it back as gifts,or if perhaps donate to a tombola event or something.

Go to the supermarket and buy duplicates of all the items you want to return. Then you can bring the 'old' ones back the next day with the receipts you have. After a few months repeat the process. And again a few months after that. That will fool them!

They will cross them out on the receipt once you have taken them back... so u will only be able to refund what you bought...

This is only good if they are going out of date... cos u can then return ur ones and keep the newer bottles.
