  i proposed at Butlins in Minehead, i know, dead romantic me :-D but we did have a honeymoon in Teneriffe to make up for going to Butlins.

  OH asked me if I was going to marry him when we were 16 and on a school trip at Disneyland Paris - we were queueing for Space Mountain :giggle:

  The 13th Feb just passed I proposed to my now fiancee in a restaurant called Magdalen which is close to London Bridge, the Head Chef there worked under Heston Blumenthal as well.
  
  She did not expect it and said as I got down on one knee "No, oo, not here.." But I knew she didn't mean it, she was shaking like a leaf, then again so was I!
  I was meant to do it at Christmas and go to the restaurant in which we first ever went for a proper meal together, but we were both too busy as we went to see family...and she was expecting it at Christmas, whereas by the time it come round she had completely got over it!
  
  We are currently unsure whether to get married in this country - easier for family, or to do it abroad somewhere nice and hot!

  I did it valentines leap year, i put a ring in his card then went to work, when i thought he should be home i got really nervous and didnt hear anything for about 2 hours turns out he did some overtime, so when he eventually rang me he said yes. went out that weekend and bought me a proper ring

  O H proposed to me in an Italian restaurant but actually gave me the ring on the platform at Turnham Green underground station ! We had a honeymoon on a Greek Island

  i proposed in Brittany. Managed to get the other side of a big rock on the beach, write 'WILL U MARRY ME' in the sand. Asked her to climb the rock with a 1 year old in hand!! @ the top just said have a look down there!!

  I proposed to my missus outside Cinderellas Castle in Magic Kingdom, Florida.
  
  I bought a cheap ring from argos before hand (just to propose with), stashed it in the case and managed to keep it on me on the day, until i proposed.
  
  Knowing you get so much more for your money in terms of jewellery in th US, we bought the engagement ring and have since been back to florida and bought the other halfs wedding ring.

  I proposed at the peak in hong kong down on one knee, complete with ring, she did the old "noo, don't do that here" thing too, but obviously didn't mean it.

  I proposed to mrs barky while walking in the local park. My oldest son did the whole romantic thing with his american girlfriend though. They are both scrabble fanatics-he hired a rowboat in philadelphia and they rowed out to an island where couples go for picnics.
  
  Had the picnic and then he brought out the scrabble board-he had glued the words "will you marry me" onto the board-worked for him(bit soppy for me tho!)

  I proposed to my now wife on 30th Dec 2000 - was gonna do it in the restuarant we were goin to but she didn t feel good and wasn't gonna go so i got down on my knees in front of her as she had her head in hands feeling sorry for herself and when she looked up the ring was in front of her - couldn't stop her from crying for about 20 mins before she said yes... :)

  He properly proposed in the labour ward bathroom when I was out of my face on drugs taking a bath.
  
  See up until then I had been quite mean, not wanting to get married etc, I didn't beleive in it, so he struck whilst I was in agony and out of my face.
  
  I totally lost it though as it ended up in a c-section I had already decided when bubba was born I had to marry him as it was ll just perfect.
  
  No romance here...............

  in our kitchen after a call from hubbys grandparents to tell us their cat had died they were so upset and hubby said 'maybe we should get married to give them something to look forward to and live for' i said good idea and we called to tell them lol so romantic and they were so happy they got a new kitten

  Neither me or the wife proposed to each other! We both decided we wanted kids, she said she wanted to be married first while i wasn't bothered. I told her to go ahead and sort something out and she did followed by two weeks in Vegas on honeymoon. Romantic eh!

  My OH proposed to me on our 5th anniversary in a restaurant in Barcelona. He was so nervous he just sat there with the ring box open and didn't say anything! I had to say, "Aren't you going to ask me something?" !!! We honeymooned in Mauritius.
