Just returned from Tesco's , thought my Bill was quite high so just checked reciept and discovered they have charged me £15 each for the below, ive bought these previously at £6.97 as son is collecting them and he wanted to get two with the last of his Birthday money ! Ive just looked online and they are £6.97 and double clubcard points too ( which i didnt get :( ) , i mean 7 quid is a rip off for these things but £15 is outrageous !!!
Shall i print off the page on Tesco direct and take it in or will they use the 'different price online' saying ? even though ive bought them instore at £6.97 ! Oh and Daughters just informed me she seen the £15 price label !! but just thought i was being generous !!!!..........bloomin kids !

Tesco direct and Tesco instore prices are different, only suggestion I can give is to return the one to store and re-buy online. Or phone Tesco CS and have a moan and see if they can help you.

So many things have happened, not got offers etc. I now make a point of checking my bill BEFORE I leave the store, easy to rectify at customer services then. At least once a month, I get double refunds for offers that have not come off, or mispricing.

Saves a lot of aggro once you get home, then cannot be bothered to go back and sort it

If the price label was £15 then you won't have much recourse, first thing I would do is go back and double check the label, check if it was £6.97 or £15 and see when the "offer" ended.

Double check you picked up the right item, as item could have been in wrong place (people love to dump stuff on other shelves). If the labels were right then I would just go and get your money back and purchase from Tesco Direct.

Prices on the website will not be the same price as instore, as they are 2 seperate entitles, you cannot use an online price to get a reduction on the instore price.

You should have got double clubcard as it's a national promo automatically added to the clubcard points. Under clubcard points earnt today it will say "includes new extra points"...

i agree with sickly sweet, the prices instore are different than online aswell as different stores having different prices depending where you live. I would return them and order online saves the hassle

Just take them back and buy them again online at the lower price?

I thought this but son has already opened them before i realised ! i know they have different offers online etc but more than double the price is ridiculous isnt it , especially as on the link they have a price check thing saying 'cheaper than toys r us ' ...........not , haha , thanks for reply , think i will have a good moan to customer services , tbh !

Buy another from Tesco Direct at the cheaper price and return that new one to Tesco instore.
Or be reassured that you are a lovely mummy and spoilt your kids and they have big happy smiles and feel warm and fuzzy inside because of that.

The online price will be cheaper than toys r us online.

The online and instore prices are different due to less overheads, e.g. delivery to stores, store staff, store overheads etc.
A lot of people expect tesco to sell the same price online and offline, and it's not possible in a lot of cases, due to the overheads.

As sickly said, buy another one from the website, then take the others back, saying I bought them from the website. Every store should take them back and refund the price.

Yep................when there asleep X) haha, its just a nightmare shopping with them ( which i try not to do often ! ) as Daughter wants to buy EVERYTHING and son is at the age of 'trolley height ' and doesnt look were he's going and has had a few bashes to the head before now !!!, lol ohhh the joys of motherhood :D Roll on Monday for the manic 'first day back to school '............cant wait , lol

These were half price £3.50 in my local Tesco's (Coventry Cannon Park) yesterday so £15 is a rip off - my son likes these and now has all of them. If you can get them for half price at Sainsburys then take them back to Tescos with your receipt.

Call the number on the top of the receipt by the "How did we do?" I did this and told them how bad they were and I got apologies and a refund. Try it, what have you got to lose!
