Yes we are in the middle of it as well LOL!

Should get one of these also, not quite ready yet though! :giggle:

Just had a look around for you at Boots, Mothercare, Argos, Toys r us, Tesco Direct, Amazon and eBay.

Amazon has them for £6.99 plus postage (only 1 left http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tommee-Tippee-Portable-Potty-Blue/dp/B000HSZTRO/ref=sr_1_36/203-6657328-3079164?ie=UTF8&s=toys&qid=1183575733&sr=8-36)
and eBay had a couple of brand new ones too (item numbers 140042036118, 320126329086 and 140132524582.

None of the other stores above had them at all.

It would be cheaper to buy it in the high street though to save the postage cost. I have only seen them in larger indeendant chemist though. And I would stock up on the liners when you see then as they are quite hard to come by.

Hope this helps, let me know how you get on!

Whats the difference between a normall potty and a portable one?.
I work in B&Q and recently was looking down one of the aisle and a child was sitting on their potty smack bang in the middle of it, people had to walk around it. How you getting on with the potty training I am also trying with my 2 year old he is fine naked in the house but the moment his underpants go on he wees them. Any advice or tips would be greatly received.

The training potty is a fold-flat frame you can put a liner bag in (nappy-sack will do) and toddler can get on with the job virtually anywhere. When they're done you take the sack out and chuck it away. Seat folds flat and goes in a bag. You can put a super-absorbant panty-pad in the liner if there's no bin handy (to avoid spills if you have to take it with you).

I carried my sons normal potty around in a bag - I don't think he actually ever used it as it was more for my piece of mind!! The difference with a portable one is mainly the disposable liners that go inside which I thought were extortinately priced!! The best advice I would say is that if the child isn't ready then don't push it. My son wanted to get out of nappies (he was just 2) and I didn't buy any more nappies for day or night!! The washing machine was very busy for about three days but that was about it (except for sporadic accidents through the night - I used Pampers changing mats in his bed which are cheaper than the special bed wetting mats)

The disposable liners are expensive but you can get away with using nappy sacks. At one time we had a pack of perfect fit holeless carrier bags that we used with some old tissues thrown in to help absorb the wee. Now we keep the portable potty in the car because they still need to go on demand on long journeys.

ive not tried taking him out without a pull up on yet but its only day 2!! i put pants on him today indoors and he weed on me!! it was so funny, i think they must think its the same as a nappy as when he did it his face was like 'why are my feet getting wet?!' a friend of mine has just trained her 23 month old and it took 2 weeks of naked house time before he realised he wasnt suppossed to wee in pants. hes now fully toilet trained and doesnt even use a potty any more!
thanks for the tips guys am going to peruse some sites in a mo.

I remember those good old days of potty training our 2 monsters. :whistling:

There was the time I was late for a meeting and had to drop Monster #2 at nursery. I was holding Monster 2 and she peed on my suit as I was crossing the road to take her into nursery. Had to give a presentation to a client with pee on my jacket and trousers!:w00t:

Then there was the time my missus went on a girls night out and I had to bath and put the Monsters to bed. Monster 1 refused to sleep because she knew her mum was out. So I lay down next to her and promptly fell asleep too. Next thing I know I wake up wondering why I'm feeling warm and wet. :? I'd forgotten to put a nappy on Monster 1 and she'd peed during the night.:w00t:
