I will be taking my 2 children who will be 4 and 7 by next summer.
Can anyone recommend a good family resort / hotel to go?
Thanks

I tend to agree. It was a nightmare shopping. Hassle, hassle hassle from men outside every shop. PITA.

we hired a car as hotel was middle of nowhere, got to the town and within an hour we came back, it was awful, they where trying to drag my son in shops, we got lost and asked someone for help back to the main car park, and he said yeah and took us back to his bloody bar, no where near car, i was bloody livid.

just got back from Olu Deniz, well last week. amazing weather, very nice beach and lots to do.

Stayed in Ovacik which was a 5 minute bus ride away, costing 5 Lira each way for two of us. Im vegetarian so food was a problem but im sure for everyone else it will be no problem.

....and the Turtle Beech is amazing. We did a day trip to Dalyan but this was a waste of time and the tour guides just try to make money from you in every way possible.

go to altinkham its a family resort i have been 3 times and the kids love it. one tip though dont go all inclusive not to turkey anyway unless you want cheese and cucumber for breakfast the bars as cheap enough to buy your meals out.

No contest! Olu Deniz all the way!

I would stay clear of Mamaris if I was you. Unless you like drunken british louts spewing and fighting everynight!

Agreed ... This is where the Turkish go on holiday so maybe this says it all! ;-)

We stayed in Belek, Antalya 2 years ago at this place, http://www.antalyaresorts.com/listingview.php?listingID=8&name=Cornelia+Deluxe+Resort
It was only half hour from airport (good for kids!), Antalya is a stretch of beach with 5* hotels, very good all inclusive.
It was a fantastic holiday!!

Another vote for Altinkum, great family friendly resort, families get made to feel really welcome, I agree with the above about SC, loads of lovely resturants to enjoy, I'm booked to go back next year, going SC, I think the AI are overpriced, what I paid for my holiday and adding in all speding money still works out alot less than AI and we can choose where we eat/drink each day and aren't stuck to one place.

Have a look at http://www.h4u.co.uk/Resort/Altinkum really good prices and service, only thing is they use a turkish 'budget' airline, Onur Air but I've used then before and never had any problems.

DON'T go to Gumbet, In my opinion it's not for families, and we weren't made to feel very welcome at bars/resturants, seemed to just want 18-30 type's, others will disagree but that's the impression I got whilst we were there.
