I am taking my 11 yr old son to alton towers in the school holidays but am not taking my little ones. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where i could take my youngest (5 and 6)for their day out. Is Gullivers world any good or camelot? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? I live in manchester so not down south or anywhere too far please. Thanks in advance.xx

Gullivers Kingdom at Warrington (not Matlock) is excellent for younger kids IMO.

Gullivers (the one at matlock) is great for the 3-8 year old range, our two loved it last year (they was 3 and 6 at the time) Food is not vastly overpriced on site I think about £4 for fish chips and a drink to sit down too!

If you do go to the Matlock one its very steep from front to back uphill, so take a tip and get the Chairlift from near the entrance and start at the back and work down to the front, do it the otherway and your thighs will not want to move the next day (experience)

is sundown adventureland too far for you to travel? Thats great for kids. I'll echo the sentiment about Matlock Gullivers and work your way down!

gullivers world in warrington gets my vote, a little rough around the edges but my 2 kids love it. camelot may still be a little bit old for your kids

My 3 year old absolutely loved Camelot so much so we have to go back in Summer hols, loads for kids, and a farm too where you can feed animals. Failing that Chester or Blackpool zoo!
