I'm planning on holiday this weekend which is bank holiday but I'm not sure where I should go. I'm afraid that shops might be closed. Is Isle of Wight any good at this time? Oh! I plan to stay a night as well.

Thanks for your opinions.

The Isle of Wight is great all year round - i love it even in winter. The Lake District is great too. Bear in mind all the additional traffic though on the roads heading to all the major resorts. Where are you & what kind of thiings do you enjoy :)

I live in London and I think I cant rent a car at this weekend before all my mates driving license are expiry at the moment. I just want to go to anywhere not far away from London by train. ( I know it sounds terrible to travel without a car.) Anywhere nice atmosphere to stay and watch around would be fine. I have a reseach on Isle of Wight and I find out that travelcard over there cost £20. I dont think it a good idea.
