£55 a week is cheap for a private rented flat, was lucky to get a bedsit for £55 a wk,with shared bathroom/kitchen with others, going back 10yrs.My last private rented 1 bedroom flat was £75 a wk and thats going back to 1999/2000 and it wasn't great.

Might need a gurantor if you under 18,often needed with people older too for rented accomodation, depends on landlord or the letting agency what they have in place.

I would think you'd need to be 18 to enter a legally binding contract as I work with teens as part of my job and we can't write them into a legally binding agreement until they are 18 x x

My son was 17 when he wanted to move out but couldnt rent anywhere as he needed to be 18. He ended up sharing with an older couple until he was old enough to get a lease himself. It has certainly made him realise how much better off, financially, he was at home.

I live on the north west coast and have a wonderful view across the bay to the mountains in the lake district. The view changes day by day as does the way the sun slips into the sea each night. How's the big smog these days?

believe me there's more thats even cheaper round here! there's £25k 3 beds to be had but not in nice parts. i know middlesbrough was voted worst place to live on location location location but only because of the bad parts!

were we live its good link to a19/a1, regular buses at the bus stop just over the road, cycle paths (not lanes!) about half a mile away where its 5 miles to either middlesbrough or the seaside at redcar. half a mile the other way and you'll be on cleveland hills/north yorkshire moors!

OH! and the best pizza/parmo shop about 100 meters away! if you dont know what a parmo is you HAVE to come and try it! LOL
