might aswell go for something like this, it will do stages 1, 2 and 3 so no need to keep buying new car seats

When my little girl was 9 months we got the Britax Explora from Boots, it has been fantastic and lasts up until 4 years old, it's come down in price since we bought it but I would recommend it:

The best car seat is the one that fits your car, I had chosen the seat I wanted but when they tried to fit it into my car, it was a really bad fit, take your car to Halfords or Mothercare and ask them to test the seats in your car, you can find the best fit, then buy the seat online or wherever else is cheapest. :)

The best one I have seen at the moment is the Maxi Cosi Tobi. We're in same situation as you, our little boy turns 9 months on Friday and we are looking for next car seat for him. Went to halfords to buy one a while back as it was on offer and the saleman talked us out of it (didnt try upselling us) was quite genuine and spent the best part of an hour showing us how well designed the Tobi was.

Pretty decent prices at www.kiddicare.co.uk and also videos showing you how it works etc....

out of interest if anyone can find this seat at a cheaper price would appreciate it.... sorry to jump on your thread

I bought something similar to this for my 9 month old to use in grandparents cars. I personally would not use it as a regular thing as they do not recline and I felt it was far too big for a 9 month old. It is OK as a now big 17 month old but only for short occassional journeys.

Hi, if your cars isofix I would recommend the Britax Evola Isofix, a really comfortable, secure seat that grows with the child. Mine coast about £130. Good luck with your hunt!
