Looking to get an economical all-in-one and can-t decide between the two. The Epson has cheaper ink than the HP, but apparently HP have inks called "XL" (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Original-300XL-Black-Cartridge-Capacity/dp/B0019TUUME/ref=pd_sim_ce_4) that will last 600 pages. If that's true than isn't in cheaper than the Epson, as you are less lilely to replace the inks? Which is the best?

epson are cheaper for ink as the nozzles remain in printer, when they block, its goodbye printer
hp's you get a new nozzle on each ink, so no problems

epson for me

i have an rx520 with a 'continuous ink system' installed

cost me £30 and should last for ages (in spite of my 9-y-o wanting to print everything in triplicate!)

continuous ink system bought from local computer fair, freely available on t'internet too

good luck

isnt that quite expensive? for a comparison, if the hp 300xl can print 600 pages at cost of around £15, how many pages would "ciss" offer at the same price?
