i hate talk talk, there broadband was good but customer service is appalling. when they took over tiscali who i was with at the time, they put my monthly charge up and capped my previously unlimited broadband. i phoned up to cancel my account and they were so rude! one person even slammed the phone down on me when they tried to offer me a better deal and i refused!

That would work out very cheap indeed for your first year.

Most tech support for ISP's are abroad but you shouldn't have to use them often so shouldn't matter too much, now if you have to ring them all the time.... then its a problem.

Jump ship Skusey

Thanks for all the replies, think i'll go with 02 only negative leaving virgin is that i will HAVE to get a landline which i dont really need, but i think 02 landline and broadband still works out cheaper than virgin broadband on its own...does anyone know if 02 allow free calls to 0845/087 numbers?

I went with talktalk because i did not have an active BT line running into the property. It only cost £60 with talk talk wheras it would have cost about £140 to install the line with BT.

I am cancelling my talktalk soon though because uni is finished and their shortest contract was only 24 months. Does anyone know how much it is to cancel. Or how to get it for free?

Thanks:thumbsup:

Yeah i had to go through the same. Thats why i went with talktalk as i was only living there for 12 months and did not want to pay a lot for line installation and then installation from the provider i chose.

However talktalks customer service is rubbish, but they were the cheapest when needing a new line.
