Britax Eclipse SI St Moritz (9mth-4yrs) Description
The Eclipse SI is a group 1 forward facing car seat suitable for children from 9 - 18kg (9mths-4yrs approx), it has increased side protection and fully reclines without disturbing your child.
· Deep softly padded side wings for optimum side impact protection (S.I Pro)

· Five recline positions for a comfortable ride.
· Easy adjusted five-point harness with one pull adjustment.
· Unique pitch control system reduces forward movement in a crash, and protects your child more.
· Spring loaded belt locking mechanism allows for easy installation even in three door cars.
· Can be installed in a wide range of cars with lap and diagonal belt, or with lap belt only.
· Slim base for a better fit in modern sculptured seats.
· Removable machine washable covers
· Suitable for children from 9-18kg (9mth-4yrs) forward facing.

IMO when i saw the britax in halfords i thought it looked cheap and not very supportive. As my child is going to be in this unti about age 4 i paid the extra to get a Recarro seat from halfords online and im really glad i did. THey vary from £109.99 to £149.99 dependent on colour etc, but you can get cashback from quidco .

Not seen a maxi cosi to judge them and it does look good tbh.

have you been into halfords and asked advice what seat fits your car best??

Recaro's are brilliant!

From 9 months to 12 years (i think) very sturdy and looks great. Even my OH agrees lol.

We got the Recaro Young Sport a few years ago for my eldest and will be using it again this time when my lil one is bigger xx

edit - sorry I know thats not a answer to your question, lol, i just rave about it all the time!
We had a maxi-cosi but it was quite plasticy and my daughter grew out of it by 2. She was smaller than average so im not sure that they last as long as they are supposed to xx

Maxi cosi without a doubt!!

Recaro's are excellent seats, though the Britax ( we have an Eclipse si) seems to fit more cars and fits better. Which is really more important than child comfort. safety first in my eyes.

I have the britax, it was the best fit in my car. Little girl is comfortable in it and I'm pleased!
