My little boy was 4 when he got his and his first game was New Mario Bros and he loved it. He's well into cars and so loves Mario Kart too bu he's just got that and is 5 now. My little girls 3 in Feb but she doesn't have a clue how to use it so I suppose it depends on wot end of 3 she/he is and wot they're into:thumbsup:

most games are suitable for 3 yr olds as they pick it up much faster, think they do spongebob, postman pat and loads of disney, you will be amazed at how quickly they pick it up, there are some games callef, "look mum i did it", one for either boys or girls, i personally recommend getting the R4 DSTT ETC, then if a game is not suitable you haven`t spent loads of dosh

He is turning 3 a week before christmas, has played on his cousins ds' before, just not sure what he played. Thanks for the suggestions guys....keep um coming. The EDGE card turned up yesterday so I wanted to get it ready for him, well in advance rather than my usual last minute stuff!

There is a crayon game..I think it has something to do with Crayola?

Bob the builder game is available from tomorrow, or something like bunnyz or hamsterz I wouldn't of said nintendogs for this age as it is quite difficult to train them and they easily get frustrated. Nothing like sims kingdom as there is to much reading involved which my 8 yr old hates. Mario cart or olympics would be good. Also build a bear workshop also spotted one in the game magazine called clever kids pirates not sure what its like. There are also some called I did it mum available for both boys and girls just came out on 7th nov. They are a series of simple games specifically designed to stimulate learning in young children, might be worth a look. Hope this helps:)

Drawn to life
Cooking Mama
There is also an 'Imagine' range of games like Imagine teacher where you play the role of the teacher, there's loads of them.
They will have to be pretty simple to understand games for a 3 yo otherwise you end up like me completing every level for them.
