I know...another 'which mobile phone is best' thread but I reckon it's best to ask other people for recommendations.

Due an upgrade on Vodaphone. Was going to go for the i-phone on O2 until i saw that it worked on Wi-Fi and not wap so I have to be near Wi-Fi to access emails/internet. OK at home but not away from home.

Can get the Nokia 5800 or Blackberry Storm for free but not sure which one to go for. What do other people reckon is the better phone? I email, text and browse things like Facebook and ebay. Apparently I need to buy a blackberry package to browse internet for the Storm...gosh...it's all so complicated for a simple female like me!! lol

Heck...I don't know enough about it. A friend let me see his (oo-er missus) and he couldn't browse the internet in my home as my wireless broadband is secure. So that put me off but if you know why i should go for it, tell me please...I am really not techy minded! lol

don't you get the free mobile internet on the contract iphones then? On the payg ones you get 12 months free internet bolt on, not wifi only. All iphones have wifi (well, certainly the 3g ones do)

lol........if you go for an iphone with o2 im guessing youll be taking out a contract? so im going to assume youll be getting the 3G iphone, with all the o2 contract packages for iphones you get unlimited internet and wifi, so if your not connected to wifi youll be connected to 3g or edge so should still be able to browse the internet no matter what.

But which phone it comes down to i guess its personal choice, i love my iphone and dont think ill ever change it can do so much. Ive always seen blackberrys as business phones but my friend swears by his, as for the 5800 ive never had a go of one. My advice would be to go to the shops and have a play around with them, lol i know thats not the best conclusion but it could save the hassel of ordering a phone then changing it again because you dont like it.

Now see....I never knew any of that!! I was going to go play with them all anyway as I don't always go for the smallest or the latest..like to see how comfy the keys are and what functions they have...like what games. I read on HUKD that there were some problems with the Storm but then i know people who have the nokia 5800 and don't like it. Do you have to buy packages eg for facebook or is that more for things like the spirit level gubbins they show on tv?

You can either pay for applications but theres alot that are free facebook ebay etc are free and theres lots of other free ones including that spirit level one, but you see like that tip calculator one on the TV that actual one costs money, but theres always about 10 free alternatives that do the same thing but are free.

Just been reading reviews on reevoo....it says that you can't forward mail or send/receive pictures through MMS nor does it have 3G. These reviews are from early 2008...Is this still the case?

It does have 3g, and in june there will be an update which will allow you to foward texts and recieve/send MMS.
