go with O2 or BeThere

the ones with free gifts like laptops aren't usually worth it...

Cant tell you about the ones you mentioned, however I have been with freedom2surf for 3 years and have no intention of ever changing.

Their £19.99 deal comes with everything you want including the router and no setup cost.

They dont differ greatly from other ISP's until you need support, then they really come in to their own, I have only had need to ring them twice and both times it was my fault, but the second time I rang they looked at my account, realised I was paying too much and then lowered my bill and upped my connection speed :)

Go with Virgin

virgin they are asking me to get the landline offer too, dont really need that :-( and not being able to register online cuts the quidco as well.

02 all the way! Cant recommend them enough, customer service is great, the overall level of service is excellent and speeds top notch!

Pay for the 8meg package and get these speeds

On the same line but run on BT equipment before and got speeds of no more than 4meg before. o2 LLU is amazing especially for £7.50 a month (as a O2 mobile customer - contract, or payg £5 per month discount for topping up £10 every three months)

Forget talktalk mate my dad has it and nothing but trouble, drops out every night for an hour or two, constantly need to reboot the router to get it to sync. With talk talk there is also a £30 connection fee to take into account.

If you use file sharing, don't go with talk talk. It goes really slowly as its throttled on all things such as torrents and limewire.

ur ISP shown in an imge as be unlimited :? it looks like they are in partnership with BeThere.

how far are u from ur tel exchange??

:thumbsup:O2 broadband gets my vote. It is most reliable, fast and value-for money unlimited broadband.
To make it even cheaper, use it with a O2 contract or PAYG (need to top up with £10 a quarter, saving £5 a month) mobile.

o2 and be there are one and the same, i think o2 have bought into BE. Distance to exchange is just shy of 3miles as the crow flies, although double that plus some via roads as between is a lot of fields so obviously the telephone cables dont go that route either under or over, I think the bt engineer said the actual cables route is around 4.5miles when i asked from the exchange to the local junction box.

Yes they are, O2 brought "bethere" last year, so they are own by the same people but still different companies, as with "o2" there top speed is 20MB but "Bethere" top speed is 24MB plus there top upload speed is nearly double that of O2

Im with Virgin at the mo, would love to change but there is no BT phone line in this house

You do realise it needs to be topped up by £10 every three months to continue receiving the discount?

Virgin are.

correct, They just have a FUP which leads to you having your download speeds reduced at peak times but you can download as much as you want hence unlimited
#20
I would go for Be/o2 if I didn't get free broadband from BT I'd be with Be/O2 infact I'm even debating leaving BT's throttled and phorm infested offering for o2

The only thing with Virgin is that i have to buy phone line as well to get decent price, broadband on its own is too expensive.

Dude if you go on there webby you can get free sims sent to you.. just activate one! p.s if you spend the recommended £10/per 3 months.. and get Quidco) your monthly cost is something like £11.
