Im deciding which one to buy between the C530 and the C533.

Im a technology dunce really, despite being only 22:whistling:

But yeah, im weighing up the pros and cons of both.

One is a 5mp - the other is only 4mp - but has a zoom, and a bigger display :?

So, im not sure which to buy, any help would be appreciated.

Im sure someone will link me to both there technical capabilites, but thats really no good to me
Id just like peoples views on which is the best please :)

Both the C530 & C533 are 5mp - go for the C533 out of those two for the optical zoom

Both look to be 5MP to me, I think the obvious choice is the C533 as the C530 has a poor lens, no zoom and slow as well. It's F4.5, the lower the f number the more light the lens can let in, the C533 is f2.7 at the start of the zoom which means it can let in around twice as much light allowing to shoot at half the shutter speed.

How much are you looking at paying? I picked up a Panasonic LZ2 for my sister from Ebuyer which was 65 pounds - it's a compact camera but has a 6x zoom which is stabilised (optically, not digitally which many companies now misleadingly claim), the results I've seen from it seem good.

C433 is the one I would go for, the optical zoom and better lens would outway the extra 1mp

Definitely, I wouldn't touch the C530 with a barge pole - the lens would be ok perhaps if it was much faster but surprisingly it's slower than the C433.

How much are you looking to pay for the C433?

Im wondering if the c533 is worth the extra £10 though.

Choices choices, i hate being female most of the time :giggle:

Will it make much of a difference?

No, not a huge difference - the camera specs look similar aside from the slightly increased resolution. As you seem to be trying to keep to a reasonable budget, I don't think it's worth paying an extra 30% for.

i wouldnt touch a kodak, there battery life is terrible, i have tried normal batteries, rechargable batteries, kodak proper batteries, and after a few pics they are dead, i know of three people that also have these easyshare cameras and they are all the same, brill price, brill pictures, but batterie is a problem, i am not kidding my daughter takes about three photos then the batteries go

I have a Kodak Cx6445 (4mp &4X optical zoom) and haven't had any problems with battery life and I use cheap rechargable AA's

Either you're seriously exaggerating or there's a fault with the camera - I have used various Kodak cameras, both AA and proprietary battery type and not had that problem. Admittedly I'm not a fan of Kodak cameras in general although that didn't seem to be the question asked.

Here are a couple of samplesm first one at 4MP, second at 5MP:
