I haven't looked at either spec but personally I wouldn't touch PCWorld with a barge pole!

bought a Toshiba from PC World, they are ok as long as you buy decent brand (not packard bell) and know a bit about PC's yourself.

I would usually say Dell, What spec is the dell?

Neither.

The Celeron 900 CPU is about the slowest CPU Dell put in Laptops.

The Core i3 in the Packard Bell is a better CPU, but I would not buy a Packard Bell.

Go for a Core i3 but a better brand (Toshiba etc)

whats wrong with packard bell ?????

Essentially they outsource production to whoever is cheapest at a point in time and then just put their brand name to the laptop. This means the build quality is always suspect and the design is seldom a match for the properly branded laptops.

Have a look at the Dell Outlet store or wait for a deal to be posted on HUKD which gets you the price you are looking for.

Would of been easier to just say Packard Bell are owned by Acer so are going to be of a similar quality instead of talking nonsense
TBH Dell build quality is a lot worst than Acer's and thats coming from someone using a Dell to write this
