I've never experienced any of these companies but always seem to hear bad things about acer?

Must be from comet as my payout is with them.

I have used Acer and Asus and not had any issues with either. Never had a PB so no comment on them. There is not much between them - chose based on your favourite colour!

If anyone is tempted to replace 4 gig with 8gb on the Dell n5010 and is looking at service guide to take apart. to the right of the memory is another screw they forget to tell you about, if you don't take it out then pop the keyboard out you will bend it so much out of shape it looks like its doing a Mexican wave.

For reliability, if thats an issue, then go for the Asus as it is at the top of a lot of reliability polls. Acer near the bottom but the missus has had an Acer for the last two years and no issues with it.

The Asus caught my eye however search for it on Asus sites.UK*. You'll find it in downloads but try and get the specs
