Hi,

This is to do with an offer from an insurance claim so it has to be either/or I'm afraid. Can anyone recommend one above the other and the reasons for that.

Compaq

Dell

As far as I can work out it's just the graphics card, But I could be wrong!

Many thanks.

Compaq Presario.

bloody hell that was quick, would it be possible to me why?

the compaq :)

better connectivity with the hdmi output. very useful, thats probably what swings it for me,

if your not bothered about the hdmi output you could go for the dell for the larger battery life, depends what you require.

Internally, they're probably more or less identical. I'd go for the Dell because, in my experience, HP/Compaq units are not that well put together. The Dells are generally more solidly constructed.

I noticed that too, but thought maybe that pcworld had omitted that from the dell spec.

maybe mate, have a look for the same laptop from a different retailer and see,

if the Dell has got the hdmi output then I would change my mind and go for the Dell, they are both very similar mate.

good luck with making the right choice,
