Which Mobile Phone Network

I am up for renewal next month on my Orange contract (and believe me I cant wait to exit the contract)

As I will not be ever putting my business in the direction of Orange again for the rest of my days, I wondered which network you are with. Can you also rate whether it is good or bad network to be on, how good your signal, what the quality of your calls are like and most importantly how good customer service is.

P.s. I have seen the thread about exiting Orange early but as I can exit it from next month, I didn't really see the point.

Signal and clarity of calls is going to be personal.

I might live in a strong signal area and have a perfect handset, you may not.

I understand that, but for my job I go all over the country, so a general 'its good in my area' will give a good enough trend for what purpose I need

I've been on most of the major networks over the years and have to say that Vodafone is by far the best for signal strength and quality. They're also the best for customer service in my experience, it used to be Orange that were famed for customer service but they've been pants since France Telecom took over.

O2 are cheap but their network's rubbish (wide coverage but poor quality) and their customer service is probably the worst example I've ever come across (yes even worse than Orange have been recently), they only keep customers by offering extremely low renewal deals.

T-Mobile's a joke. While I've never been on 3 I do hear good things, although bear in mind that they use the O2 network for areas not covered by 3G.

My wife is on three, and I have to admit this is my favourite at the moment. I have had a three on pay as you go before and they were great.

My only problem is I wanted to get a Nokia N95, which they dont do on three

If you check out their coverage increase for early next year (for the broadband coverage) they are about to expand a lot

They do the N95 now. they also have an interesting Lg touch screen. Im with orange at the moment and i hate it. I had a contract with three for 3 years and tbh i dont no why i left. It was mainly down to three not having any decent PDA's but they have a good range now and there interent browsing is very resonable. Im probably going to cancel my contract with orange and go back to three.

Can you do it without the video calling pack?
#13
bear with me a sec im just pricing one up for me:-D
#14
Right i "think" this is how it works. The video pack is free the £12 a month is for the phone then you pay the rest towards a plan.
Out of intrest how many mins + txts do you want a month and how much do you want to spend?

As cheap as possible and use about 70 mins and 100 text per month

I live up in the Highlands where I find Vodafone to offer consistently the best network performance - they're not the cheapest nor are their deals great but in the end, none of that matters if the phone can't get reception.

The 3 network hasn't used o2 in non 3g areas for nearly a year now. 3 now roam onto orange in 2.5g areas.

I use o2 and BT (a vodafone virtual) gotta say I prefer o2.

I hate o2 at the moment, can't wait until my contract expires in december, think I'm going back to pay as you go

I would probably say that Vodaphone is the best network.....however I am with Virgin and have been for about 6 years.Never had a problem and they suit me fine,'sepcially now I get the 300 mins and text deal for a tenner!:)

How does this look UltimoScorpion

pitty they dont do the se k850i

I've worked for T-mobile, 3G, and Vodafone and tbh the cust services are fairly poor for all of them. The training is basic and staff turn over high. There is no continuity of the advice given.

In saying that I'm with T-mobile (still have the staff discount lol) and the only two places I've had problems getting a network was fort William and Rothesay

I worked for vodafone, and my other half worked for 3g when they launched. wouldn't get either network based on the customer service

Typical, the only two places I spend my weekends

My missus has just been given a work t-mobile, and so far she's not impressed, we are giving it a go though:thumbsup:
