which powerball?

i've been waiting for the price to fall before i buy one of these, but they aren't falling, so my question is this:

how valuable is the digital counter in the top of the powerball

play.com have the digital counter model at £12.99, and the normal one at £7.99, is the counter really worth the extra £5?

i only really want it for the excercise aspect, i play drums and badminton regularly, but am i likely to get it and wish i could compare speeds with other people? doe sthe counter help during excercise (to plot progress etc)?

any tips would be helpful - thanks

YES! believe me, you'll defiantly want the counter! it's great watching your mates try and fail to beat your score.

that does sound fun, unless they do beat my score...

in that case, is there any advantage of having the 'signature' edition, which from what i can see is just a white powerball that costs an extra fiver?

thanks for the code, and don't worry, i won't be forgetting quidco either

i'm so cheap...

and what happens when the battery runs out in the led display thing?

sorry to keep posting things, i'm going through a thought process here...

I have the basic pro, well, the one which is louder; whatever they call it - didn't want anything which lighted up as it just seemed like something extra to go wrong. It's a lot about the technique, with each go you get a little bit better so you just give your mates a couple of go's and they never beat it :-D

Personally I prefer Powerball 3 in 1.:giggle:

powerball!?!......isn't that one of those gimmicks you put in the washing machine?

The counter ones are fun to use. But the metal ones are great. Plastic ones make too much noise and feel rigid when using. But metal is smooth and they are better quality

ok i've ordered, thanks all

Yeah counter one all the way. It gives you a purpose (i.e. trying to beat your previous score).

Non counter ones get boring.

what does a powerball do exactly? is it just a toy that'll get boring after 10 uses and never looked at again?

Its something you play with to take your mind off the stress and anxiety when we're 1-0 up with 5 minutes to go and Gary Caldwell has the ball

The counter is so ****, it turns off every minute and its so hard to check your score when you're powerballing that powerball.

I think the idea is to check it AFTER you've finished. I've never even seen one of these things but even I know that. Do you think Usain Bolt complains about not being able to check his time during the race ?
