Definitely definitely Grand Slam Tennis.

Have you read the reviews for Grand Slam Tennis?:?

It has scored 5/10 on Eurogamer today..................:whistling:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/ea-sports-grand-slam-tennis-review

There is no review for Virtua Tennis Wii yet, but the hands on gave it a big thumbs up:

"With a handsome, full-featured conversion and excellent controls - with or without MotionPlus - SEGA is certainly putting its best foot forward." - VTennis looks like it could be a much stronger title to me...........

...strange really how the concepts of the controls are the same but they seem to prefer it. This has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons!!

Just seen that NGamer have given Virtua Tennis a score of 88% - they reckon it has the best control system:

What Virtua Tennis lacks in panache or style, it makes up for with substance, including a comprehensive World Tour mode and the best tennis controls on Wii.

V Tennis ftw I reckon.................

I'm waiting for user reviews and some hands on impressions from gamers on Nintendo forums - all the magazine and online reviews seem mixed.

Gonna get my Motionplus with Wii Sports Resort next month, so hopefully by then one of the Tennis games will have come down in price.

I read the Virtua Tennis review in Official Nintendo Magazine - the only real complaint was that the Motionplus doesnt always recognize you're movements when you try and hit the ball down the centre of the court.

Played a fair amount of tennis games, Virtua Tennis has always been my personal favorite.

I think that as far as aesthetics go, Virtua Tennis to the serious gamer is the better option.

Grand Slam Tennis is EA's first tennis game in 15 years (I read somewhere) and the look of it is to mirror the Wiis objective. To make gaming fun. The characters cartoony look and feel make me want to get this title.

It will be interesting.

I'm getting Virtua Tennis, but I want Grand Slam Tennis as well, but can't justify spending so much.

Any verdict on GST?!

My parter decided on this 1 in end and we've preordered from Game, cheaper to buy the motion + together instead of seperately, plus 9% Quidco,we got Reward card too.
Should be here next Friday,Game good usually with preorders delivered on day of release.

Did you order the Championship pack? The reason I ask is because Virtua Tennis does not come bundled with MotionPlus. You have to order them separately. The Championship pack just contains two extra raquets. And on game.co.uk it states: Virtua Tennis 2009 is compatible with Wii MotionPlus, however, this Championship Pack comes with two tennis racket peripherals, which when attached to the Wii Remote, do not allow the MotionPlus add-on to be connected to the remote.

On the Wii the championship pack at £40 seems a bit of a rip off. Why else would you get VT on the Wii if not for MotionPlus.

Game have bundled VT and motion plus themselves but at £50 it's cheaper to buy the two separately, unless you use the £5 off £50 voucher. http://www.game.co.uk/Wii/Sport/Tennis/~r341979/Virtua-Tennis-2009-with-Wii-Motion-Plus/

I have both of these and the best, by a distance is Grand Slam Tennis. The Motion Plus isnt necessarily needed for Virtua Tennis.

Anything to report OP?

i thought the one on wii sports was the best its a pity they didnt go on to improve it making it a separate game and putting competions in it

Have you played Virtua Tennis...?! It is rubbish. The Motion Plus is not even needed for the game!

I also have both, Grand Slam tennis is more fun, Virtua Tennis is more 'realistic'. Both are good, but if i had to keep one i would say GST
