Which Xbox 360 deal is better?

Ok this one from argos

1. XBox premium
2. Mega Pack thing with steering wheels, wired controller, media remote control, stand + fascia.
3. Pro Evo 6

£279.99

Or the one from Toys R Us

1. Xbox premium
2. King Kong
3. Dead or Alive 4
4. Final Fantasy XI
5. Project Gotham Racing 3
6. Additional Xbox 360 wireless controller

£299.99

I've reserved the one at argos for collection but am in a quandry as to which is a better deal. I like the look of both pgr3 and pes6 as games.

Someone make my mind up for me please

I would go for Woolies.

Argos is a filler deal.
Steering Wheel... a bit gimmicky
2nd controller... 3rd party and wired... not what you really want.
Media remote.. 3rd party...
fascia..cheap
stand... very cheap.

Forget the RRP of the mega pack. Its all stuff that you wont use, and would struggle to sell. And if you did, its high P&P.

Deal 2 will give a decent 2nd controller, and decent games.

Others many disagree,,,,?

well with the second option your obviously getting more games, which i would go for
that argos lot is just bit and bobs, you want games games games lol

Well ive gone and got the argos one now lol, ill buy pgr3 seperately, wasnt fussed about the other games in the woolworth pack so they'd be as much a waste of money as the 'facia and dvd holders' that came with the mega pack.

The steering wheel isnt bad, the pedals are sturdy, the controller is ok, plus i wont be using it and i dont mind my mates suffering with wires lol. The media controller is very good, looks like its a microsoft unit, if not its a very nice looking tool.

PES6 is brilliant, the gameplay is so much better than 4 & 5, they just used to stress me out. Cant wait to try out pgr3 when ive got it, saw a good deal in the hot deals section for £16, bargain price.

Do you have it in HD ?

Is the Woolworths deal instore or online? Any info appreciated,

PGR3 is fantasic on a HD set with the HD VGA lead. Haven't had time to play any other games as yet though, even though I got a couple. The game itse;f I haven't really found amazing though.

That's what the weekend is for, although I really should be decorating, but oh well!

I think the woolies is way more worth it, depends what you like though, i'd rather the extra games and wireless controller, and i think value wise if you add up the RRP's it's worth more.. I would never use the steering wheel and don't know anyone who would who would be using my machine, so bit of a gimmick for me. Woolies one has a good variety of gameplay styles, even though none of them are the top rated / expensive games it's probably got a lot more hours of play on it before you'd need to buy something extra than the argos deal.

I've just realised I've got my wires crossed. Its not Woolworths with that deal on its Toys R Us. Ill edit my original post. Not sure what deal woolworths are running at the mo.

The reason I went for the argos package is because they had it in stock and from what I'm hearing Toys R Us don't at the moment. Also the nearest toys r us to me is about 60 miles away which doesnt help.

Ill try the steerin wheel once ive got pgr3 for xmas, if its no good im sure someone will give me a tenner for it on fleebay.

Cheers, yeah already seen the deals in Toysrus, unfortunately they are out of stock of all the racing packs both online and instore (Northampton), so i'm still waiting grrrr hehe,

I wonder what sort of profit margins Toys R Us are running on with this xbox 360 deal, there must be a standard wholesale price for the premium kit and I cant imagine the markup on games is too great.

Maybe thats why they're out of stock cos they cant see a financial benefit in ordering more in. It probably also gets alot of people going into the store to look for it.

I wonder what sort of deals will be out after xmas.
