Hi i have heard the name cex a few times on here, I recently got scene it lights camera action for the 360 and now I want the box office smash, I googled it and went to shopping and cex came up in the list.

It includes the buzzers for £12.99 and it states new on the google link, however when I click to the site it does not mention if new or used? I understood they were a second hand shop like cash converters which really put me off them as our CC is full of right tatty rubbish!

Anyone used them, or know where I can get BOS cheap, I saw it was in morrisons for £6, gutted I missed it!

CEX are a bit like Cash Converters - they specialise in buying games/dvds and selling them on second hand. They have a fair few stores on the high street and I think the website lists them off - at least that way you can inspect the quality of what you're buying. I'm sure they have a returns policy also if what you receive is tatty, but I'm not sure as I have never ordered from them online. You can also trade in your games etc and get cash or exchange value against other stuff.

Decent enough store to be honest. Been in business a while and quire reputable, I'm just not well versed on their online returns policy. Had no problem with returns instore however. And they're usually cheap! :-D

Not everything it sells is second-hand. A lot of the software is heavily discounted as per used items but are on the shelves shrinkwrapped and looking new with original seals. Like Cash Converters there is always the risk that someone will fence stolen goods as was the case in this newspaper article., so it has a bad rep with quite a number of people. Staff inside tends to vary in helpfulness, with some being downright rude, whilst others are honest to a fault, even if it costs a sale.

Overall, good for software and dvds. No longer really worthwhile for computer parts as you could probably buy brand new for less at Amazon or Play these days.

I'm trying to buy an iPhone 5s from cex by trading in a good few items for £400 how quickly will I get my money if I go in store, and will the phone work perfectly?

if you trade stuff in store and you are wanting to buy the iPhone from CEX then get vouchers - they will issue these immediately ..... then if the iPhone is in stock at the same store you can check condition and pay with vouchers - phone will come with 2 year warranty from CEX - but read the T&Cs carefully.
