Who do you think Arsenal will sign to replace Adebayor?

Arsenal have recently sold Adebayor for £25m to moneybags Man City, which means we now have even more money to play with but who do you believe Arsenal will sign as a replacement and or in other positions to strengthen the team?

No-one decent............not an attractive club at the mo. Long time without a trophy, becoming more of a selling club by the year and soon to be a Europa League club i think.

They need a complete breath of fresh air imo and a new manager as although Arsene Wenger is a great manager, he and the club have gone stale.

That's a long list of people to know....unfortunately, that's wishful thinking since I know you support Newcastle.

Also heard that Arsene has tabled a bid for the JFK. He's likely to knock you back on personal grounds

I think you make take Obi from us. 60k a week for a championship player! Cracking player on his day

No way mate, we play some of the most attractive football in the world and are only missing a couple key players to mount a serious challenge on all fronts.

Wenger is without a doubt, one of the best managers in the world and any club would be lucky to have him.
I always become frustrated when fans say we need to get rid of Wenger when infact, all of our star players only remain at the club because of Wengers intelligence and man management skills.

If Arsenal didn't build one of the best stadiums in the world, we could easily afford to compete with the best teams in the world financially but we have a lot of investments outside football, that will drag us through this and we're one of the few self succificient teams remaining in the top flight. :)

I believe you'll lose Fabregas within a year as well i'm afraid.

Fancy a wager that they don't finish in the top 4? :-D

JKK would demand to be Arsenals best paid player, as he did with the non league club, so unfortunately, Arsene would be too tight to meet his demands.

£60k a week...is that his transfer fee?

Great player on his day but he's waaaay too inconsistant and he's got a worse shot than Ade.

He got a pay rise for getting relegated! We didn't even have pay reduction clauses in players contracts as we are such a "big club". I think in a good team (which arsenal are) Martins would do really well. I'd love him to stay but 60k a week in the championship!!!

I believe Fabregas will leave Arsenal within 2-3 years, regardless if we win nothing or everything, as he'll have an excuse ready either way, as he's not quite good enough for Barcelona just yet but he's loyal to Arsenal for the time being as well.

I do believe Arsenal will finish in the top 4, as City will definitely be too inconsistant and the premodanas will start becoming frustrated that they're not starting enough games in a squad that has no european football to also add an extra 15+ games, so there'll be too much competition for places with a lack of games. :-D

What are you willing to bet and who's going to replace them? :w00t:

I think Fabregas will end up at Madrid the way they throw money around. lol

Just a friendly bet of £10?

That's crazy, there's no way he can receive £3mil per annum when the club are in such a dire position, they'll either have to let him go or renegotiate new terms and include some clauses if a higher ranked club offer to take him off your hands.

Martins would do ok at a big club but he would need a lot of work.
Another issue with buying Newcastle players is they're all lacking confidence, with an all time low of self esteem, so it's going to take a while for them to show their true colours, similar to what happened to Robbie Keane when Rafa tried to destroy him...which isn't a good enough excuse, just because he previously played for Spurs. :whistling:

Nah, I can't see Madrid signing him since they already have strong attacking midfielders, so they'll need solid defensive mids to keep a good balance, so can't see that happening...don't forget that Barca also have money to play with.

I'd prefer to make it more interesting and do a dare. :-D

We have a massive 1st team wage bill, and still no new owner or manager

Man City = Super Club!! Can't wait until the beginning of the season to see how / if they bond together.

Thing is though, they'll always be pants until they sign HUKD's on Ronaldo, The jfk.

Yeah, exactly...you need to get rid of the owner that made mistake after mistake after mistake and become patient in the mean time.

Good luck mate, Newcastle were one of the prefered neutral teams in the EPL.

Even without having to bring out baby phrases (although I did the other day lol) I'm more entertaining than you. :p

You can keep Bent....he's too bent for my liking...even Bruno thinks so. :whistling:

Don't think he will sign anyone, with Eduardo and Rosicky (sp) back and a full season for Arshavin I would be suprised if he splashes out more than 30-40% of that £25M. Bendtner(sp) may get more of a chance maybe.

I'd love it if we signed Young, he's a huge Arsenal fan and would give us more attacking options down the wing but I can't see Wenger paying that much for him and I think we need an out and out striker, as Van Persie and Eduardo are some of the best in the business but are yet to prove they can remain injury free for long periods.

If I moved to Histon though I would have lost a load of money and not been able to go to Uni. It was a big life choice but I am sure I have made the right decison. If I keep on scoring which I know I can do I am sure there will be a lot more clubs wanting to sign me.

If I was to play for Histon I would have had to:

-Quit Sixth Form
-Not be able to go to Uni
-Quit my marketing job where I earn £82K per year
-Spend 3 hours travelling, 4 times a week.

All to earn £600 p/w.

That's probably the way someone like Micheal Own thought.

Only difference, he actually had some talent.

I make you right though. Continue in your dreamworld. Best way for you to be a success.
