I needed a hotel for a saturday night in the Shrewsbury area at short notice. Found one through Laterooms.com for under £30 (normal price £130)(plus quidco) but I was just wondering which site has the best offers or deals. Did look at a few other areas but there didnt seem to be the same reductions. I guess I just got lucky ;-) :whistling:
but would love to know other sites that are worth checking out. The initial plan was to stay in a travel lodge but that was £52 and no breakfast!

I used them for last night - nice hotel and breakfast was good £29.50 for 2 of us. Holiday Inn (next door and part of same group) has restaurant and we could have had room service at no extra charge or reception said they had takeaway menus if we wanted to order in! Nice room - better than a travel lodge IMO.
On checking out the receptionist said it was always worth checking web first and then phoning the hotel direct, quoting the web price and seeing if they can match or better it as they then wouldnt have to pay commission to the agent. Dont forget quidco tho with laterooms.com
