apparantly once you have paid for something that has been mispriced its rightfully yours. the manufacturer cant ask you for more money once they have realised their mistake. so this should apply online too right? im sure ive heard tales on here of manufacturers taking extra money from peoples accounts to make up the price

I think once you receive your item from online they cant charge you more, but if its not been posted then they can cancel your order. Tesco, Amazon and Dell come to mind:whistling:

according to that once payment has been accepted a contract has been formed. for them to charge more money later or not post item that would be going back on their contract

thats different if they dont have the item to send, i would imagine anyway.

but ive heard people say 'they will charge the extra to your card once they realise their mistake' surely that cant be done as theyve already accepted payment

I bought an awesome laptop (core 2 duo and everything just after it had come out) off here for £70 a few years ago they took the money, I never got it, got a refund after two weeks emailed them loads of time, they just told me to go away and stop emailing. It was http://www.saverstore.com/ so I'd advise against using those cow boys.

so you could have taken them to a small claims court?

No it is different online.

At a shop when payment has been taken, the contract is complete. There is less difficulty in determining acceptance in a shop, because payment is the only way.

Whilst online it is different, the acceptance occurs as per the terms and conditions (which they make you accept by ticking a box etc). This is usually after dispatch.
You ll also find that payment taken online may just be an automatic authorization, rather than actual money debited.

so what about all the littlewoods horror stories...if this is the case, surely people dont need to worry about using the codes online

but havent they been issued to certain people instead of being for everyone to use?
