Watch that, looks really easy to do. Basically all you need is a wiimote and a bluetooth pc. Gonna set one up on my tv in the lounge soon. Should make a really nice touchscreen.

Thinking of different ways to control the touch and click. Am planning to have a button on the pen at the tip so that when you press the screen it puts the light on meaning that it's simply a touch screen, I think with most of the current examples they have to press a button as well as touch the screen.

Am also toying with the idea of losing the pen and just having a button and led on a thimble type thing that fits on your finger. Think I'd need a power source up my sleeve though. Would be nice to try to get it to work this way too so you'd just need some reflective tape on your finger rather than a battery pack etc. Might cause a problem if it's permenantly clicked though, would need to make it not clicked by default and have a way of clicking seperately though. Not sure how I'd link a button on my finger up to a mouse to click. No point in having a mouse in the other hand to click as that'd defeat the purpose!

This looks really cool too:

Anyone think of cool ways to use these features and any better ideas for my touchscreen???

Not sure that it would work that well in games or be that useful. When I get it set up it'll look great for showing friends but I haven't come up with any real uses yet.

It's good for games when used with lcd glasses but that option has been available for ages anyway. I set up a head tracker a while ago with lcd glasses, it was great fun to play ut on it and control all your looking with your head only but unfortunately it makes you feel very sick so I don't think that using lcd glasses are the future.

You don't have to touch it, you can just hover over it or touch it with the led.

What do you think about the videos I posted last night?

Very cool. Now I know a little bit more about how the Wiimote works too. You get quite a lot for your money with the Wii - I guess there will be more apps like this to come...

You don't need to get a wii either, you can do all this stuff with a wiimote connected to a pc. A wiimote will set you back around £15 so it's quite cheap to do this stuff.

Same here! Hadn't heard of a spring horse though, let me know if you find one cheap.

What an amazing way of making a virtual reality motorbike!

It's very good, but the 3d effect sort of disappears when you do it for real. It works on the camera as there's only one lens looking, but your 2 eyes can tell that it's not really sticking out of the screen so the effect vanishes. To get that effect you need to use 3d glasses of some kind.

Alot of the same stuff about touch screens/head tracking but more condensed. Johnny Lee doing a live performance of his inventions.
