Who says mobile phone loyalty no longer exists?

I just phoned T-Mobile to see if I could add on a £5 flexible booster just to last me the next week as I have very little of my flext allowance left.
The helpful guy added 100mins + 60 text messages onto my account for free and thus shall suffice until my new billing period.

Just saved my £5 :D

Yeah exactly. The deals are normally stricter for me as I get half price line rental for life, but come renewal time I always get the latest phone for free, even when they are asking £100-150 cash on top. I just phone up until I find someone I can chat to easily and is friendly, brighten their day up a bit and I usually get what I want!
Last year I spent 50mins on the phone to T-Mobile arguing over getting a G1 for nothing as they had only just been released, and the girl I ended up dealing with was very friendly and I was nice and polite to her...got it for free, and she added unlimited internet on for nothing, which at the time cost £7.50pm! :-D

Then I returned the G1 and got a BB 8900 Curve which they still wanted a cash adjustment for, so I said they wouldn't want to loose my service, or my Mums line which is under the same account...magically got it free as well! :-D

Yeah i think it always depends on who you get on the line with mobile networks

When i got my HTC Desire, some people got the £164 discounted to £124.. Some people didn't.. I was a lucky one, just kept ringing till i found somebody who would do it.

T-Mobile used to be awful for most retention deals, so much so that i've had friends who work in carphonewarehouse warm me about them.

I think they've improved recently, the Orange merger has seemed to give them flexibility to hold onto their customers.

I'm just chuffed that i'll be able to use the Orange network in a few months, since it's got the best 2G coverage over anyone.

Yeah I agree. I've never really threatened to leave too much as I get half price line rental for life, so pay £17.50 for £35 tariff, thus can't really complain too much. Especially as I think lots of the tariffs atm are worse per £ then the one I've got now.
