why the hell is there new catalogue codes coming out for the littlewoods companys like every day over the past week for existing customers surely if we used every single one of these they would come back to us really dont understand why they seem to be putting so many codes about if they dont like them to be abused. i have never had a problem using them up to now fingers crossed but seems abit strange why they are suddenly throwing the codes around.

I think they make there money elsewhere. And probably don't expect so many to use on cheaper items.

I think they are setting a lot of people up as we all know these codes are specific to who recieved them, thus they are suckering people into making purchases and them reaping the benifits of charging them full price. They must have realised by now about these sites and so are taking advantage of 1 in 2 people, thus gaining more business and taking a small hit in discounts to some in the process

well tbh I reckon it may be a few more peopl get away with it, but they are probably realising that they'll make so much more by just screwing a load of people over who think they're getting discount lol

Gotta say I agree, I think that's going to happen with the current £25 no min spend code. I've already posted my thoughts in that thread today - I could be wrong though.

With the codes with no min spend, I think it's the people that end up with orders of -£xx.xx and have paid by card that might have problems. An order with a negative balance invites questions really :/

It just seems strange that they are suddenly sending random emails to people offering Discount after being notorious for using their T&C's to their advantage. They probably have someone in marketing team trolling sites like these making sure tha bait is taken, and from the 300 extra orders they recieve each time, they just say no to 250, so adding business in a quiet period like the recession.

Used them before. Used the 60 quid one before Christmas I even questioned it and they said it was fine.

You got to remember that the majority of customers will not be using codes specifically to get just one item and then not using Littlewoods again until the next super-deal comes along, as many of us here do.

I've only used Littlewoods three times, and each time because I got a great deal with a code. They aren't losing money with people like me, just making less profit. But if it generates new business from the majority - which we must assume it does - then the codes work for them.

They are obviously pushing sales hard atm, as attested by their follow-up phone calls to me attempting to sell insurance on the products I bought!

+1.

At the end of the day its the users choice. And you can always return with no lose. So no risk really.
