Why cant some people on ebay read?

Seriously i dont get it sometimes. I put in red writing and capitals confirmed address only if paying by paypal.

Lo and behold, someone buys and pays with an unconfirmed address. This is not an isolated event either. Furthermore, they claim that they really need the item and got confused between being verified and having a confirmed address. They are likely to leave me neg feedback and refuse to accept a mutual agreement. Seeing as they technically did pay ebay may not side with me and i am out listing fees for definite and possibly FVF fees as well.

To top it off some fool at ebay decided that sellers cant leave negative feedback so theres nothing i can do

Anyone experience something similar?

What's wrong with an unconfirmed address ?

if you have the money, I don't see the problem ?
#5
Very annoying thats why I try to block people with low feedback etc.

If you post to an unconfirmed address you are not covered under paypals seller protection against a chargeback or fraudulent use for example. Basically, if anything goes wrong and you have sent to an unconfirmed address, paypal will side with the buyer

Same here, but this buyer had 140 feedback at 100%. Not sure i would block that let alone be able to block it

Ebay must be taking a hit in profits as I for one cant be bothered to list anymore.
Got an email from them today saying they are calling my house to make sure im listing from home??
I list from all different places & dont see what the point of this is.
Ebay & paypal are I joke! I wish someone would bring along something to rival them, maybe a big company who
could give it plenty of advertising. I for one would jump at the chance to say ta ta to sh*tbay :)

Problem is that there is no real competition and there is unlikely to be any soon. Gonna require a lot of money to set up and market competition to ebay. Im rooting for branson to come along with some competition:whistling:

I would just wait 8 days to clear the payment and send by recorded delivery, I had a german buyer buy off me and I posted it on the 7th day (as I'm slow at posting) and he reversed the payment that afternoon. Not a chargeback but like a theft of credit card. So I lost nearly £40 and the top I'd sold. PP didn't do a thing to help me.

The only thing with this is that paypal say in their policy that you have to send within 7 days of receiving payment. If it cleared to my bank but then a chargeback or similar happened it would leve my paypal account in the red and i intend to use it in the future

I was upset at nearly £40, I'd be heartbroken and on a plane to their house for that much!!!!! I hate ebay and paypal so much. I had a listing removed tonight as I'm selling a pick up only item, and if they pay by paypal they can claim it back as not received. Also, I have to state that I accept paypal. So I put in big letters- I DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL, and explained why and they removed the listing. I was peed off and I'm not entitled to relist it for free even though I should have been :x

I really do think we should find another auction site and try and pass it round the forums so then we can all leave ebay. We could even make up accounts and post it on ebay
