Why do my deals keep getting deleted

Does anyone know why deals get deleted when they are not duplicated on the forum as i posted a deal last night then this morning it was deleted so I decided to put it on again and within 5 minutes someone has deleted it.

Just makes you think why bother posting deals if someone is going to delete them without reason and not even letting you know why they have been deleted and as far as I could see no-one had already posted the deal

HUKD hates you....

what was the deal?

You should get a PM, but if you don't the next best thing is to PM a moderator.

what was the company? maybe it's one the admins don't allow deals for. There is a thread in feedback asking for a list of companies not allowed on here so people don't keep posting deals for them which I think is a good idea.

worto.

spiderman trilogy on blu ray £17.99 @ dvd.co.uk which is a listed retailer on here, the next best price I found was £27

Just makes you think why bother posting if someone is going to delete the thread unless it has been deleted so someone else can post the deal???/

Fair enough, the seach box seems useless as done a search before posting the deal and it could not find anything

I always use the Advanced search function which hardly fails :)

You didnt receive a PM as the dupe deal was pointed out by nightswimmer in the thread itself.

We had a discussion here a couple of weeks ago about how poor (in most peoples opinions) the search function is.
I'm by no means an amatuer on internet forums but my search results are mainly 'confusing' at best!

I explained in both the deleted threads, but I'm guessing you didn't get chance to see, the reason your search failed was because you misnamed the title.

It's Spider-Man Trilogy not Spiderman Trilogy

The search engine on this site isn't as forgiving as Google for example, and finds only exact matches to the string of characters you put into it.

'Spider-Man Trilogy' typed in the standard search box brings zero matches on the first page.
'SpiderMan Trilogy' typed in the standard search box brings one match on the first page.

Go figure.

Put "spider-man trilogy" in the search box (with quotes)

When you get your reslults, click "Deals" in the "Narrow my selection" box.

It should be the third deal that comes up. :)

That worked for me thanks.
So does using the quotes work better than the +?

In some cases yes, in some cases no. However, in this case, If you do +spider-man +trilogy and then click on 'Deals' , you should get the same results (it showing up in third place).

I have never known a site like it but will try this new way too. Thanks + rep
