It starts of in full mode, but clicking on some links like play pennies or the other stuff here ----> (or anywhere else) IE8 opens up in a tiny windowed mode. I've tried maximizing it and closing it (with shift pressed when closes or with control pressed when closed). Tried all things suggested that I can find online, anyone know a soloution? Tiny thing but it's bugging me.
(I do have firefox installed and that doesn't do it) but for some reaosn I prefer IE

Try this..

Close all IE windows, then start IE up again.

Click on a link that opens your tiny IE window.

Now close all other IE windows EXCEPT the small one.

Put your mouse in the bottom right corner of IE and drag the window to a size you want.. (MAKE SURE NO OTHER IE WINDOWS OR TABS ARE OPEN)

Next close the window after you've got it to the size you want.

This should sort it and it should remember the size.
