FFS its flour and water for the base this costs nothing. tomato paste, few bits of capsicum, some meat, cheese. How is that worth £20? There is a pizza shop over there where i live, a Lrg pizza $6.50 (about £3) and they are quality pizzas. Expensive country aint it?

my local chips shop average at about a fiver for a large pizza depending on the topping and they are delicicious.

pizza hut etc are total rip off merchants and not really worth the cash. oh but dominoes using the discount codes that are usually floating about arent to bad.
#10
Don't forgot you have to tip as well.

I find pizza too cheap here in UK. Of course not counting pizza hut. But if you buy from local pizza store, its pretty darn cheap.

not compulsory :)

Pizza is a complete rip off - a takeaway owner told me it's around 75% profit depending on the toppings. More profit than drug dealing lol.
#17
If we order Pizza we order from perfect pizza,
buy 2 XL ones (so we have food for the next day still too! LOL)
Comes to about 20 pounds for both inc delivery as they
usually have BOGOF offers or BOGOHP
;)

Lately we´ve switched to Chicago Town Takeaway Pizza though,
so YUMMY (and it has tomatosauce filled crust)...at only 2.99 for one!
#18
its call economics, the average wage here is higher so things will cost more,

are you 6years old?

Really? LOL ;-)
I´m not scroogey but I don´t see why I should.
Especially cuz we usually pay per card over the phone
so there is no cash involved when the pizzaguy comes to deliver.
#20
Its very much relative to wage rates compared to other countries. Selling price also includes manufacturing cost. Simple economics!!!
The communication/mobile phone industry is a lot more competitive than in the States and I dare say its even better than Oz. Now why is that so??... Think about it...

Yeah i am 6. LOL. How old are you 5?

Different economies, you can't realistically compare the prices

Also due to things like drought in Australia for example the cost of buying imported wheat has gone up so the key ingredients are more expensive here than they are in Australia

The government here seems quite spineless, more so than back home. When i come over here 2 1/2 yrs ago petrol was 97 cents/litre thats about 40 p/litre. You were paying twice as much as ozi's. Its the same product so do you pay twice as much? The government put too much tax on general of cost living.

Not really, we pay a lot of tax, tax that gets spent on the NHS, providing a fair benefit system and other things. It's not spineless to want to prvide a free national health service or to make sure that everyone has some form of income and housing.

They could reduce the tax on petrol ect but then the country would be short of money.

Every system has it's failings and it is somehing our government needs to address but thats easier said than done.

If you cant afford it, don't buy it, simple.

I prefer to make my own food from scratch.

If I do get food delivered I always tip well. They appreciate it and treat me well and I know they do not come in my sauces:thumbsup:

Plus, if someone comes here and doesn't like the prices, simple solution is to go back to where you came from and quit moaning:whistling:

Thats a different way of looking at it...I suppose its what people think of the Brits that don't abide by the law of the land when they go abroad...

But then, a lot of us moan about our respective jobs. Maybe we should quit as well. We also moan about the weather...:whistling:

The just look like a bunch of stiff-upperlip clowns that take the pi$$ and never fix anything, then you got all the scandals with CDs full of peoples personal info going missing. etc, etc.

Woah, just googled petrol prices 1.65 cents/litre, diesel 1.82, LPGas 60 cents/litre. Wow, its risen from below a dollar in the space of 2 1/2 yrs. Nice one George Bush you incompitent boob

Right, so which MP was it that lost the CDs? 'Fix anything'...like what???
It wasn't an MP, it was a member of staff. How can u directly blame the Gvt for that? You might as well blame Jerome Kerviel for the economic downslump!
I am sure the person/s who lost the information is under investigation. This can even be classed as gross misconduct, leading to dismissal.
People seem to think that the UK Gvt as a whole are to be blamed for the ongoing economic slump and the increase in the cost of living. It might help to understand how the local and global economy works.

Another example would be the NHS and the US health system-Most people get healthcare free to an extent. For those who don;t know,. it's not the same in the US.
