Has bread got bigger, or have toasters got smaller.

No matter what bread I buy, it never fits!

You mean you have to cut your own bread? Next you'll be telling me you it's made from flour and water!

You kidder you!

I haven't 'ignored' you yet, because you're funny, silly, crap at finances, and bit strange in terms of insurance. But continually suggesting my fiance is a man will get a pair of hairy balls in your mouth. And I don't mean mine.

Ah, fudge it, I'll ignore you anyway!

So when you're making toast you think you should have to cut the bread first:?

I agree it's silly, the last 3 toasters I've had have not been big enough. I'll take a slice of Warburtons with me next time i buy one:idea:

think i have worked the consipracy out. Warboutons, hovis '(well you know the bread companies) have bought shares in the toaster companys. Then cahnge the size of their slices so everyone goes and buys a new toaster.

Bet you a tenner this time next year sliced bread will be bloody massive and our toasters will take up 50% of our kicthens
banned#20
give it a few months and the bread will fit as most product sizes are being reduced (packaging & price isnt!). :)
#21
why use a toaster when you can use a grill and have one less appliance in the kitchen?

Warburtons do a smaller loaf - but it's too small. More like croutons!

Toast isn't toast unless it's done both sides. I'm doing my bit for the environment speeding up the process in a toaster.

I actually got a bit stuck last night so had a kitchen stinking of burnt toast. It's not the easiest toaster to get clean either! I might have to stick to bread. Any tried the result of Mirowaved bread?

lol then turn it over

do toasters use less energy than a gas grill? :? srs question btw taking into account the per unit of electricity compared to gas etc

Turning over the bread takes twice as long. Therefore at least twice as much electricity. If it's gas, then that is a lot more expensive than electricity anyway.

wow, just wow, it must be very quiet on the political front

why would anyone buy a toaster that doesnt fit the bread that they buy?

gas is instant heat and hotter, have tested this and I can toast bread much quicker than an electric toaster, also you would have to evaluate how many units of gas and electricity you use for each then compare the cost........

A lot of lost energy on the surrounding areas.

Maybe a gas toaster is the way forward. Are they available?
