step away from the cake, have a glass of water and start again 2moro, seriously, it may just be your body protesting, it does that sometimes when you are dieting, keep on track and nxt week when you weigh yourself you prob start losing again
#3
Losing 2 pound a day!!

Think ya need new scales
#4
oops left feedback for ya sayin ur a good bloke lol....sorry

2lb a day? Jeez, please share your diet with me, I need to lost 3 stone before November, 2lb a day, I'd b there is 3 1/2 weeks!!!
#6
Im quite good on food and dieting:thinking:.

the 3lbs you have put on could of been water retention or increase of muscle mass since you said you go cycling and what not, muscle weighs more then fat btw.

and losing 2lbs a day is not healthy either.

Yes, loads...
I have lost 5 and a half stone but it took me a long time. You can not expect to go back to being the same shape and size you were before you had kids (assuming the little ones in the pic are yours).
If you are breastfeeding you should not even be losing 2 lbs a week, let alone a day! It is not good for you.
If you have been losing 2lbs a day then I don't think you can be eating nearly enough.
You will have times where you will be a few pounds heavier and that is not an indication of your overall weight. You should not weigh yourself more than once a week due to these fluctuations.
Women fluctuate, we retain water and with you breastfeeding and having recently had a baby is it any wonder you go up and down?
Sometimes I have an unexplained gain...then I have a takeaway because i'm annoyed...then I lose weight the next day...then...the weight from the takeaway goes on and I regret eating it the first place!
I think you need to do this sensibly and if you need to join a group to discover how to lose weight safely then do so. I did and it worked wonders.
Dieting is wrong. You should never eat any less than you need to. You just need to make sure you eat the right things and cook them in the right way.
Your body will reach a plateau and it will stay there for a while...although I think it could be that you are not eating enough and your body will hang onto everything you put into it to try to keep you nourished.
It took me 2 and a half years to lose my weight and I was REALLY impatient, but I know I did it properly because if I had crash dieted then I would have put it straight back on again.

Wow, 2 pounds a day...that scares me!

how many times do you eat a day, its better to have 5 small meals a day, speeds up your matabolsim.

Eat celery sticks if you feel like a snack, they have very few kcals!

Hmm, if you really want advice, I can tell you to go to a better weight loss club where you can eat until the cows come home.
I eat all day long and , granted, it's not the masses of chocolate I would like to be eating but I do get to eat chocolate everyday. I can have sausages and eggs for breakfast, a sandwich and cereal bar for lunch and a curry with stir fry veggies for tea. I can then eat fruit and yogurts as snacks all day long and still have enough allowance for chocolate and a packet of crisps.
Your main problem is that you are not full up and it's impossible to stick to any diet that leaves you like that.

Harvie,

if you're good at this can you help me please? I need to lose 3 stone by november, but I find a diet terribly restrictive if I can't have the odd treat now and then. I've lost 2 stone sine august, but it's too low to be of use now - i have a wedding dress to get into!
#22
Weigh yourself only once per month. You will see a more realistic weight loss then. In between once a week measure your waist and record the inches.

Often our weight does not change but we notice that our clothes fit better.

2lb on or off is neither here or there. That is part of normal weight fluctuation whether you are on a diet or not. Don't punish yourself. You know what to do and how to lose weight so stick with it.
#23
Losing 1-2 pounds a week is a good amount to lose at per week, any more and you're losing muscle-mass. When you start a diet you always lose a lot in the first week or two, but that's mostly water. Your hunger is probably increased because you're burning up a lot of calories with your exercise stuff.

Remember that the timescale that most people put weight on is over a long period and to get it off safely then that also takes a long time. Try to have patience and don't give yourself a hard time when you don't quite live up to your timetable.

Good luck, you're doing all the right things!

you gave great advice on here once (which was probably stolen!) :

If it grows, or eats something that grows, it's ok to eat?

I think that's what it was!!

I use the bodybuilding.com/fourm they are very helpful with diets and what not, a lot of women on there as well and they have decidated section for them so why not browse over. Its okay to have the odd treat here and then, but as long as you dont go over board.

I like to use the saying "nothing worth having is going to come easy". If you want to lose the weight you can, but as they say on the BB fourm "HOW BAD DO YOU F***IN WAN IT"

lol that line makes me laugh anyway

I agree with most of this except the end line. I reiterate...you should not be hungry when losing weight.
Change from your fit club and join Slimming World.
If you don't, I will send you my 'before and after' pictures to scare you into submission!!!

My girlfriend is a dietitian and to be honest the thing about eating more smaller meals speeding up your metabolism isn't true. It's a common misconception, but there's no advantage doing it as opposed to 3 meals a day.

I used this line with a y5 class I was teaching during a health eating circle time thing. One clever little beggar stumped me with 'Well bogies grow in my nose so is it ok to eat them?' :w00t:

smaller meal are the way to go, you dont feel bloated, more engery thoughout the day and less chance of going for a treat as the meals are spread better

I did mean Slimming World.
I would never endorse anything unless I had tried it and believe me, I have!
It was only £4.25 the last time I went (a year ago). I think I am going to rejoin next week just for the social aspect,
I drink Pepsi max all day long, it doesn't make a difference to weight loss. Soimetimes makes me a little bloated but that's not a weight gain, just gas!
Wishing you all the best ands if you have been to SW then you know it's a sensible healthy way to eat. You can always try again with your own plan and if you find you need that extra support you can join a slimming club. Sometimes it's just the support of the others going through the same process that helps.

Slimming World can only be about £4.50 now. You can join online aswell.
A website I found to be quite good for any advice you could ever need was

http://messageboards.ivillage.co.uk/iv-ukdfslimming

There's a few consultants on there too so you can get the support and it's all free.

I dont be mean, but it s obvious to me that you clearly dont know a lot. Pepsi/coke whatever is never a good idea to drink, it gives you a sugar rush, if the engery is not used it will store to fat. It also makes you depressed and fatiged because thats what sugar does when not used.

As for the bodybulding comment, most nutritionist would advise to eat more smaller meals thoughout the day, but hey what do I know ;-)
