Why I wish we didn't have to use RyanAir!

..... because they keep changing what cards they charge for using their service. I got an Electron card last year to beat the fee, but found today they are charging for that. They don't charge for a pre-pay Mastercard, but it looks like they are going to soon. I don't mind paying extra to use a credit card, but I think £5.00 each way is a bit much. I wish another airline would fly to Dublin from Liverpool.

Get the ferry.
#3
just buy ryanair vouchers and use them to pay for the flights

The visa electron was 'for a limited time only' and it lasted for what 3+years? Not totally sure on time frame but it was a reasonable timeframe anyway. Dont mind the hassle tbh if i can get home for 1p in the end.

I agree about the cheap flights, but it's the charges they make for everything else that really annoys me. I did go over to Ireland before Christmas for £4.00 return (no fees:)), so it is great when that happens.

We have done that in the past. Liverpool airport is only 15 min drive from our house though. AirLingus do have some good deals, but usually not at the time we can travel - school breaks.

At your house then. Post your address and we'll all be there.

They'll always keep one free card option so that they can advertise their cheap flights without getting grief from Advertising Standards etc.

Nobody is forced to use any airline, Ryanair are still usually the cheapest option, despite all of the moaning about them.

True but i am in the same boat ( plane ) . Also brought an Electron card just for Ryanair flights so share the frustration. Will now be getting a mastercard to beat the fees :)

I got my Electron Card for nothing from Halifax, I didn't even know that you could actually buy them.

Getting a Mastercard Pre-pay card is no big hardship for me.

I paid £3 from Post Office so not really a huge sum & saved a fortune. What's your advice on best way to obtain a relevant mastercard now then as i am still trying to suss out best one ?
