Wrong discussion topic Filth - try greed, zavvi vouchers and multi IDs - seems to be popular at the moment. You'll get a better response to that.

Because us workers pay tax and ni for our free national health and dole layabouts.........enough is enough!!!!!

If territory is so important an issue right throughout the animal kingdom I would be a little surprised if there were not some degree of common ground in humans.
I dont think we are that far removed from animals unless we take steps to monitor our behaviours.

as a world traveller i have no issues with immigration as long as you treat your host with respect and not to impose your beliefs on theirs

Asking why something is an issue isn't baiting.

To me, there are far bigger issues in this country and I'm just trying to get people's opinions on why they think it dominates a lot of the news.

What's wrong with getting the opinions of people that you perhaps wouldn't normally socialise with?

Well I work in part with the UKBA and trust me when I say it is a battle out there! I do think it would be wonderful if we could all live in one big happy utopia but the world does not work like that-sorry

So why don't you use a political forum rather then a deal site to get an informed opinnion?

Sure you have gone over this issue already in some form.

I'm not looking for an informed opinion on a forum specifically meant for political discussion.

I'm looking for an opinion from people who wouldn't frequent a political forum but who constitute a large block of the voting public.

i work for a haulage company and every time an illegal hides on your vehicle and you don't find them before reaching dover you are find £5000.00 per illegal. they are an absolute nightmare and have put lots of british haulage companies out of business. one poor bloke killed himself through the fines. they should all be sent back to their own countries!! (illegal ones i mean)

Something your not going to agree with as this is the whole point of the topic at hand as with every topic F&F creates.

See, that's an interesting point.

But that's our governments haphazard reaction to the issue. I think that's hugely unfair.

But I can understand why people would want to come here. We're a prosperous nation.

Can any parent here say they wouldn't move countries to give their child the best possible life?

That's a very educated comment, so complex I fail to understand the underlying point to it?

Still doesn't answer the questions - why ask this on HDUK? Unless you actually believe this site is an accurate representaion of the voting public :w00t:

If it was - the BNP would be in power, we'd have hangings, floggings, the birch, forced repatriation, legal vigilante groups, no speeding cameras or road enforcement........

My opinion is that I've travelled thousands of miles to work in different countries, I've taken jobs away from people in that country and I would never begrudge a person desperate to enjoy the same things I've taken for granted.
