Hi there everyone,

Just wondering here why do people choose to jailbrake bits of kit such as Ipads and playstations and all that? Especially with Ipads i dont understand, you fork out a fat wad of cash for something that your going to completely mess around with and change?

What do you do with your jailbroken product ?
What have you done to your Ipad, ipod, games console, phone etc

Cheers for the info in advance

jailbreaks for ipads etc allows you to get apps for free and allows for certain apps to work that wouldnt normally work on the retail unit. It gives you more control and more options.

Why don't you just use a search engine and search for "jailbreak"...

I personally don't have any Apple products, so can't say for sure. But things like customising the lock screen etc.

Because IOS is a piece of crap otherwise, so locked down and useless. I couldn't use my iPod without doing it now. Lockinfo is one of my favourites.

Surprised to see you in here.

just had a look at the lock info app, seemed quite funky, liked the look of some examples that have been posted up on google.

Is there a downside to jailbraking ?

But you restore it so its not jailbroken and have your warranty again. Not rocket science.

takes about 30 - 60 secs to jb the ipod touch, and it really is hard to do, i mean pressing two, yep thats right two buttons at the same time and following instructions.
jb and get the barrel theme or basically any theme.
there are paid for themes, but you can also get them free as well with the correct software.
